Considering the game hasn't been released yet.. maybe you should wait a while.. let the game come out, and let people play it. Then you will get to read some decent views on it.
Black Ops hasn't been released yet (officially), so we cannot make comparisons yet. However, I find it hard to imagine that Black Ops could be worse than MW2. It would have to be downright terrible.
The game is not out yet but from all I've seen is Treyarch balancing the heck out of it, cause MW2 most unbalanced things were Commando,Killstreaks,Noobtubes,Perks,etc. Also Black Ops co-op is much better than MW2.
P.S: Killstreaks doesn't stack in Black Ops so that's better.
Well, it would be tough to be worse than MW2. So if you enjoyed MW2, than Black Ops should be fine. But do this kind of research after it is released so you aren't judging based off of gameplay videos.
Just wait till it's officially released and see what everyone thinks. It'll be hard to be worse than MWF2, so if you enjoyed that then you should buy it.
I believe the people who told you that are poor. People like that say the most bizarre things without presenting evidence or proper information to back up their statemnt, almost like every CoD hater. Black Ops is a STEP FOWARD, meaning everything that went wrong with MW2 has been removed. From cheap perk combinations, cheating, to quickscoping. Treyarch cares. There were more patches for WAW than MW2 and CoD4 combined. Trust me, their not letting this baby become another MW2 scenario.
I just wouldn't even bother. CoD is nothing but a cash grab now. I personally am waiting for Killzone 3 cause it will definately be better than anything Black ops has to offer
A teacher of mine in grade school said there was not a such thing as a dumb question - I disagree. Seriously, Black Ops will not be available to the general public until November 9th 2010. Why are you asking which is better? Most of us outside of Activision never played it.

P,S MAG is number ONE lol, nah ill tell u what is, killzone 3, im in the beta and man that game will own. i cant wait till feb 22. 2011. that will be my main shooter game offline and online.

graphically and technically mw2 is obviously better, its the same with cod4 and 5, 4 was made by Infinity ward (the originators), 5 was made by Treyarch (the 'copycats'), it was still a great game (black ops will be too) but not as good as the IW cod's..eventhough they came out later.. the copycats will never be as good as the originators..they do add more content etc, so some might like treyarch more, but when it comes to the core quality of the game's graphics and technical engine, IW wins hands down.. same goes for the black ops campaign, already looks a lot improved with better character models and animation, but will it be better than the great mw2 campaign? we'll have to wait and see, im personally going for a no, but i like the modern combat era more..
Well from what I've heard the multiplayer is worse. Huge open maps and the spawning is terrible. I don't know if this guy is credible but that's just what he's saying.

As with MW2, a lot of people have got their hands on this quite early. Besides what's with people saying MW2 is crap, I thought that stopped being cool 2 months after it was released.
In my mind, Black Ops already wins. Fixed the killstreaks, dedicated servers. End of discussion. :PElann2008
Yeah, I think it's from the features that they added, refined and removed in Black Ops is undoubtedly the better game(it can't get any worse) but I think the question for me and a lot of others is: will it be enough to justify $60? Is the campaign plus zombies going to be worth $60? CoD games have a history of bugs and glitches in the first few months even when they had betas and who knows, there might be some game breaking glitch in Black Ops.

I rode my skateboard 9 miles(on a skateboard) back in 2000 to get half life, I played cs 1.2 all the way up to source. NO GAME has ever come close to that perfect game.
Black Ops is actually very CRAP, The maps are far too big making it campers galore, there are far too many spots for campers to just sit and wait. The game has been slowed down the entire movement of characters is slower and controling is not as smooth. This makes running around commando style pretty useless, you will only die (unless the enemy is useless and blind). One would then ask whats the point of marathon and lightweight as a perk? oh of course its because the Maps are WAY too big. You can shoot someone 4 times and they dont die, killing takes more to make teams work together but in effect they have turned it into a slow moving sneak around type of game style.........BORING
i have both, MW2 is better, black ops would be close if it wasnt for the crappy graphics and bad framerate and laggy online, and its on every console. treyarch i want my money back, infinity ward are the best
Black Ops from what I've played so far is better then MW2 IMO. The maps are very well designed with pretty good symmetry. Camping isn't all that effective, since no matter where you are holding someone can easily take another route to flank you. They are no "safe" spots like there often was in MW2. Honestly the game favors true run and gunners more so then MW2, so I'd say it's less campy. Really my only gripe is the spawns are somewhat sporadic and if there is a clear zone behind you some enemies may pop up. Unlike MW2 the game seems to actually spawn people in locations where they won't get killed right away, so if anything it's just more a fluid system I think. Also the fact they've done away with quick-scoping and the ridiculous knife kills makes the game feel a lot more legit. You have to be smart and skilled to do well in this game. MW2 was far too noob friendly. So if you were one of those idiots running around with the Tactical Knife and or doing Quickscoping... well Blacks Ops is not for you. I also like the fact that killstreaks don't count towards other streaks. Want to get the 11 Killstreaks? Guess what you actually have to kill 11 people in a row yourself. No more Harriers giving you Chopper Gunner/Nukes. I like it cause it makes lower Killstreaks a lot more favorable now and makes Killstreaks what they should be: a nice bonus for you doing well.
The singleplayer is great, with probably the best storyline of any CoD game out there. It's not real long, but it's satisfying. Also the level of action is almost unbelievable at times, but is far more appropriate then MW2's scenarios. Zombies is still great too. But what really shines is the multiplayer. They've added so much to it that'd it take me too long to describe all of what's been added. I really feel like the may have perfected formula finally. Which is good since this is probably the last true CoD game.
the treyarch cod's will never be as good as the infinity ward cod's..that doesnt make them bad games...cod5 was worse than cod4 but still a great game, same goes for black ops and mw2...technically and graphically mw2 is superior in every way.. and imo mw2 will probably be the best looking cod in a while, now that infinity ward is gone..still, black ops is a good game too, nice campaign and decent multiplayer, just don't expect it to look and feel as good as mw2..
MW2 is definately better. Black ops is the worst game I've purchased this year. The framerate is so broken and graphics looks likevery badon my 46" hdtv. Gun is broken too, man even waw has better gun than it. btw my k/d is 1.6 at BO.
Black ops is more balanced in terms of multiplayer, and has a much more intense campaign. Zombies is spec ops replacement as the third mode. You won't find noob tube spamming on black ops but will on mw2. Same with quick scoping (which isn't dead, but mostly gone), etc. The one thing that's better about mw2 is that you can get nukes (very fun), but aside from that, black ops is much better. The better player will almost always win in black ops. It is more tactical also. Flanking is much more effective, and guns aren't ridiculously overpowered. Bottom line is black ops is more realistic, but mw2 is more over the top.
I think the multiplayer to Black Ops is better than MW2. But I'm not getting it. Simply because I already have COD4, WAW, and MW2 and I'm not getting another game that offers near the exact same.
If you're a run 'n gunner who uses AR/SMGs, BO stacks up well against MW2. If you prefer to find a good spot to snipe from, stick with MW2; sniper rifles are broken, both it terms of sway and hit detection.
