black smoke coming from my ps3 & sony wont help!!!!??

I have a pretty new Sony PS3 & i recently noticed that when its on theres this thick black smoke/ fog coming from the back of it. I called Sony for advice & they said they dont know whats causing it & couldnt be of any further help? What the heck am i supposed to do ? The store that i purchased it has closed down so cant take it back there. Gee this console is really poorly designed if its gonna die on me allready!!!badboyblack

that's impossible...if something inside the ps3 is burned or dead, you won't see smoke...

and the most amazing thing is that the smoke keeps comming while the console is on... :P

what really blows my mind is the fact that the trolls are thinking about writing "360 is so much better than the PS3!!!" or the other way around.. but if either console is so great. why are they not playing all the great games they both say that they have instead of sitting forums crying about it?

Seems like a troll but either or, you need to get a hold of a better Sony represenative. The only options any Sony represenative would give you is either to do an in-warranty exchange/repair for your broken PS3 or an out of warranty exchange for a fee of $149. I doubt very much they'd turn you away, especially if it's emitting possible harmful smoke. To where if they were turning you away so the technician who'd be "investigating" your console doesn't breath in any of the smoke for health concerns, there would still be alternatives if you asked to speak to a supervisor for specific help concerning the situation.

Heh lots of trolls coming by lately. I remember a few weeks ago I called one on his crap and he messaged me asking me if i was from Nazi germany. It's not really about 360 hate. It is just that soo many 360 fanboys bash the ps3 in the trolling post while praising the 360 so its natural for alot of people to want to retaliate.
