There was doubt cast a few months ago, I don't remember if it was a legit site or typical forum mish-mash, but it sparked some controversy. I know that when I saw the latest trailer and spotted the red stuff, I remembered all of the talk that was going on. I'm glad there is blood, it just feels necessary when slicing dudes with a sword. It doesn't need to be God of War gorey, but if this was another Dynasty Warriors, bright beams of light, instead of blood scenario I'd be pissed.Large_Soda
Yeah it was at a demonstration I believe it was in Sony's Gamer's Day 2007. The build didnt have blood which sparked the controversy. But the trailer from SGD 07 shows blood
yeah the trailer is only a little over a minute, nothing new :(s0njas0n
nobody said the video was new. there was talk a couple of months ago because one of the developers stated that there wasn't going to be blood in the game. a firestorm insued. "how can you have a action/hack-and-slash game with no blood?". so I guess they listened to the consumers and added blood.Â

there are much more important things to get pissed about.Â

I completely agree with you on that statement. If a game has to much blood, sex, or violence in it I will not buy it. There should be more restrictions on how games are developed because there are many good games young kids should never play or see. Games could have some blood just for effects purposes but not gushers of blood. As for the other 2 things they have no place in a game period.
PS: I have no kids in the house it's just that I feel kids have enough of this already out in the real world.
i did want them to take the blood out or just a little blood because my son was mad when i told him he could not play god of war. i now it is not god of war but it has simularites and i would of liked him to be able to play a great game like god of war.Â

now I am not a father, and I may change once I become a father, but I don't understand why parents restrict video games from their kids because of blood and violence. I can understand about the sex part. but because of blood and violence? that can be seen on the news. Â
but I guess it also depends on how old the child is. if the child is like 5, then yes, I can see why a parent would restrict them. but if the child is like 11-14 or so, I don't see any logical reasons to restrict video games at that age.Â

I totally disagree with you beacuse imagine all the great games with no blood just for little kids that doesnt understand the subject of the game imagine Metal gear solid with no blood it will looked like **** so dont tell that nonsense.Blood sex and gore are part of this ******* world we live in so thats why the developers put this kind of themes in the games beacuse 80% of the storyes have to do with sex or blood or something (realism). And another thing if you dont like gory or bloody games dont buy the PS3 beacuse the PS3 is a console for a little older people.
Buy the Wii, that way you can play mostly all of the games that are available in this console.

I agree with Dantesergei i dont want my games "softened up" just so kids can play them. As you said there are so many good "kids games" so if blood, violence and nudity offend you dont let your kids buy or play them. But please dont expect developers to tone down our games just so your kid can play them.
