Where is the best place to buy blu ray drives and laser for ps3? I checked everywhere and i can't find a good source of them for a good price. And just in case other replacement parts for the system.

It may not be the blu ray laser because I sent mine to get repaired locally and was told the laser is working fine but the chip in the blu ray drive was deficient and it couldnt be replaced by anyone other than sony because they had special encryptions exclusive to each system... sony is terribly, forcing people to pay 190.97 for sumthin dat stopped working conveniently a month out of warranty and asking me to pay just about half what i apid for a new one ( i got mine for 400 after tax i got 10% off, and repair is 190.97 in canada)

yea i was sure my problem was the laser too, im not saying yours isnt though its just what i thought my problem was. May be wrong though I only had 1 store really check it out, I think I'm better off buying a new system too, maybe repairing and selling the old one but it's not really a good time to spend so much money it's almost half a grand and paying 190 on top of that is ridiculous, especially when its something we have no control over. anyways i think im going to get a 360 pro for 150 but im not too excited about their games library :( but on the flipside im beginning to hate sony over this bs feels like were being robbed fixing it.

yeah. i did manage to break part of the disc loader though, nothing serious just the little spring loaded sensors, so if you do take it apart yourself make sure not to touch anything you don't have too haha

you could go with the xbox (btw there real easy to hack ;)) but the laser burning out is really just a small problem and would be very rare if it happened again

Hopefully, I'm just worried because the guy who diagnosed my system told me he's getting roughly 300 ps3's a month in Toronto. :o and left 4 dead looks pretty fun soo I'm not sure. gaming dilemma lol
