Unless the image it's somehow deformed that's normal. Many movies are not in standard 1080p format.Hi on my normal films dvd and games its in full screen but when i watch bluray films its in widescreen with the black at the top and bottom. How do you put it into fullscreen if you can?.

its the aspect ration of the movie that causes the black bars. Its the directors intention as that particular aspect ration (2:39:1) gives a wider picture so you can see more detail in the background, usually used in movies to give scope to the scenes. If this annoys you try to go for films in 1:85:1 this will fill your screen with no black bars without having to zoom in and distort the image. Check the back of the blu ray box to confirm the aspect ration of the movies. However I actually prefer the 2:39:1 aspect ration as it does give a bigger sense of scale to certain scenes imo.
Its all explained here, with images for reference and as you can see you get the widest viewing angle with 2:39:1
