blue ray remote

I just got a blueray remote. After following the instruction to the point where it tells you select type of device, I find that a remote is not shown there. Any ideas?    thanks

go to: settings --> accessory settings --> register bluetooth device --> register BD remote control

thats the problem, it doesnt offer the remote at that point, just headset and something else.
