What if Sony allows Microsoft to make a Blue Ray player? What do we get out of it? I ask this because it would be possible to get some of the 360 exclusive. What do you all think? BTW I am new and my psid is king_tupper
Why would we get anything? Sony would make a deal that ensures that they get a large chunk of the profits and makes the add-on expensive enough that the PS3 still looks like the better deal.
Actually technically sony has to allow mcsoft. If you guys took law or know a bit about law surrounding technology sony kind of doesnt have any choices. They cannot reject mcsoft up front but there are ways to get around this.
I give a moderate chance that microsoft will produce an add-on Blu-Ray player for the 360, seeing as how their HD-DVD add-on wasn't too popular, but they also want to support customer demands.
And i give a 0 to .5% probability of the 360 having an integrated Blu-Ray drive to play Blu-Ray games, as that would shaft any current 360 owners.
PS3 will never get 360 exclusives, because both systems run completely differently (hardware, software etc...). Although i would also like to see GoW on PS3, it's not happening, haha. 360 also cannot get PS3 exclusives for the same reasons.
We as ps3 owners don't get anything. but Sony gets all profits from the all the 360 hardware sales. Because M$ will have to up the price if they are allowed to install blue ray drives in the 360's and Sony will get all that money. so that means Sony makes money off every single 360 sold if they install blue ray drives. quite funny if you ask me.
