Blue screw in harddrive wont come out

i cant get the blue screw inty the harddrive out for nothing i want to put a new harddrive in so bad

I think that one is the hardest one to get out. You need a good screwdriver or even if it breaks it can be removed if your very careful.

Apparently you need a 'Philips Head' screw driver or something reaaaaaallllllllllly small.

its a very soft screw i stripped mine, i ended up using a needle nose pliers and it worked great

My blue one came out fine, it was the 4 screws holding the HDD to the tray that I had to use pliars on. :cry:

That's what I meant, I have some anti-cam out screwdriver bits that will grab the slots in the screws. And if the screw I am working on doesn't happen to have one of these bits that small I use a product called SCREW GRAB that works great.

Note those anti-cam out bits are kinda hard to find and they do cost a good bit more than any other screwdriver or screw driver bit.

Make sure you have a really small phillips head screwdriver..BE CAREFUL.. If you strip that screw, you are screwed. Forgive the pun.

It's important to have the correct size screwdriver because the screws holding the HD in place once you get it out of the PS3 are even smaller.

The big blue isn't even the hardest. The smaller screws are.

I used
