Bluray Movies Now DOWNSCALED to 720p. (or so I have read)

I read a few guys confirming on another site.

720p TV owners rejoice?

false...thats the second thing i tried last night when the update came out and bluray in 720p still looks like butt.Hotwad

 Really ... ? I check it last night as well and I saw almost no difference and as well it was outputting at 720p . Hmm odd

LOL LOL - why is this an issue for you guys??? You just set the tv to output 1080i and your tv will convert to 720p HOW can this be an issue?svenskamerikan

yeah, I thought that too until i compared the PS3 scaling DVD to my TV. The PS3 scaling looks about 10x better.

i think you are mistaken

most 720p TV's can accept 1080i and scale it... 

some tv's don't do that i guess

uhhh you know that some tvs upscale better than others right?   not to mention the overscan problem.
