i haven't played dark arisen, but it comes with the original game which i'd recommend over borderlands 2. they're both good games though.

Neither of these games bears much resemblence to the story-heavy Mass Effect series, but Dragon's Dogma has some elements in common with Dark Souls (although Dark Souls is overall a much better game than either Dragon's Dogma -or- BL2). The combat in Dragon's Dogma is a strong visceral feel to it, with elements of Shadow of the Colossus mixed in. The story delivery in DD isn't very strong, and the narrative feels more like an afterthought for most of the game, but in the last third it suddenly gets -very- interesting.

BL2, on the other hand, is a loot based multiplayer FPS at its core. Because of this, it probably has more replay value than Dragon's Dogma. If you like that kind of game, BL2 is the most "bang for your buck". If I had to rate these games as follows:

1) Mass Effect series

2) Dark Souls

3) Dragon's Dogma

4) Borderlands 2

They are RPG's. If grinding is what you're after then get Skyrim. Its padded like a hooker's matress.

You are talking about replay value i have a question how is the replay in each game ? Cause in dark soul i passed it twice than sold back the game cause i was bored, in ME i played the story once and than went on the MP (wich is awsome) i don't think i will replay the game though well not soon, i keept it cause it's a masterpiece annd i might want to play it again in 1 year or so but i am not the type to replay a story over and over BUT if there is nice MP or coop to it. Otherwise i will do it once only but throughfully.

thanks all for your answer

Well, for replayability, Borderlands 2 probably wins hands down. You won't hit the level cap in the first playthrough and there's a lot of DLC available for it with more still coming, plus since it's a "loot" based game there's always that potential to get better/newer equipment, unlike games like ME or Dark Souls where everything you can find in the game is predetermined. I've replayed the first ME and (like most Bioware or Obsidian games) I plan on replaying the series from the beginning one of these days.

Dragon's Dogma has a New Game Plus mode, along with multiple jobs to master so you won't max your character and your main pawn on the first playthrough. It's interesting, but I didn't feel an overwhelming desire to play through again, although I'm going to give it a shot now that I've picked up Dark Arisen.

Dark Souls I have three characters in and have put in over 200 hours on just the PC version. I love that game, and it's sort of my go-to when I just want to play something that I know is solid, although my interest has tapered off somewhat with all the new titles that are out.

Although BL2 is not my specific favorite type of game, I can acknowledge that it's a high quality game. It has a great and unique style to it, much improved storytelling over the first, more interesting environments, and mostly well crafted multiplayer.

Your wording changed when you wrote about looting, it was more creative in contrast with what you wrote about combat and other stuff was not as inspiring. This lead me to believe that Looting and Grinding may have some hidden sub concious appeal to you.

Since Borderlands 2 is pretty much a DLC game without a coherent story to follow, you may as well just wait for the whole package this holiday season.

I have been itching to play Dark Arisen, it coming with the original game was a surprise.

That makes very little sense. I could infer from how you zeroed in on my description of looting that you're a huge fan of the show "Hoarders", but it would be no less ridiculous than your inference about me. I stated my preferences and recommendations pretty clearly and if you choose to believe something different then that's your issue, not mine.

lol. Why do people always get so defensive at the tiniest slites to their character (even when it may not be true) ?
