Borderlands, anyone playing?

Ok, I been checking the boards repeatedly today to see if anyone would start talking about Borderlands. I am very curious about the game, and didn't really want to just start a topic saying, "Hey I like these type of games should I go out and spend $60.00 on it?" So I was just waiting for Gamespot to hurry up with their review and to see if any buzz was going to start about the game. So either everyone who does have it is too busy playing it, or it just not really worth talking about?

I am intrigued on this game, and just wanted to see what the initial reactions are, so I was hoping to see some threads started. But if anyone has any insight or impressions of the game leave a note. I am curious.

Personally im not going to buy this game.. it dosent look like the kind of games i would buy.. im saving up to buy Ratchet and Clank.. btw Borderlands is $40 in Canada for those who didnt know

Yeah, haven't seen much Borderlands threads here. You should check out the 360 forums just to see what people are saying about it.

yeah I have uncharted 2, I beat it though. I could go back through and play it. I have demon souls, but that is a game I have to play here and there. I will pick it up play a section of it then put it down. I am thinking of maybe trading in resistance 2 toward borderlands since i havent picked it up since i beat it.

yeah im hoping to pick this up when i get my ps3 back but i really have a problem with most open world games. They tend to give you a big huge world, but they dont populate it enough and it ends up feeling boring. Does this game manage to fill in the world nicely or is it going to be like farcry 2 again?

I picked up Borderlands today, and so far its totally meeting my expectations. Gametrailers gave it a 8.4 and ign an 8.8. Im only lvl 12 atm but the gameplay is to my liking and i already have some pretty sweet guns.marcl18123

I just started it, and so far, its great. Personally, I like the art style, and its different. As for the gameplay, its plays just like a FPS, and you level up with each kill, and giving you a slight bonus for killing with a critical. Haven't seen many guns, but I'm only lvl 4. Not a bad purchase, but sadly, I don't know any friends that will be getting it, other than one who is geting his PS3 next month, so co-op is out of the question for me right now. Still, I'm having a blast.

yeah, I am debating. I been watching the gameplay movies just posted. I just do not want to get bored in the game like I did in Fallout3. I don't want to take a day to do a quest, I want to be able to grab my gun run and blast some mofos and feel like i am accomplishing something.
