a easier and more effective way (without any dlc) is to do repeated eridian promontory runs with a high level character on playtrhough 2.5 and let the low level character wait at the beginning of the stage and earn lots xp

not really since eridians take awhile to respawn again once you kill them. craw however is ready to kill instantly once you leave area and come back. a high level siren with a double anarchy can drop craw in 15 mins or less if you know what you are doing. you rank up faster fighting craw since you do not need to wait for him to respawn constantly. eridians might be easier to kill, but they offer less experience for more time which is not very efficient.

you have to restart game for instant erisian respawns ;) its really faster that way , but when farming craw you get good weapons during the process too so its not bad either
