Borderlands gets his first review

I think it's great, I'm exciting to get this game for a long-time and seing that it already got one good review it makes even more excited :P

An 8.5 is a pretty good score and I hope it gets many more like that. The game definitely looks really fun and I've been expecting it's release for a while now.

Borderlands does look like a lot of fun, but I'll probably wait for a price drop since there are a handful of games occupying my time for the next few months.

well, it looks like fallout 3 and okami had a baby i might check it out. But, im afraid it will be like fallout 3 in a year it will have a game of the year edition so ill wait tell then.Javieralijandro

Borderlands is a lot diferent from Fallout3 IMO

I'm not too interested in this game but if it gets more good reviews and if we can get a demo I might pick it up.

It got a 9.1 and 8.6 from 2 PC mags so far, looking great, can't wait for more reviews.

I'd play a demo, if one was available, but if not, i can just as easily pass on this game without trying it; I'm just not that interested. but seeing good scores is always great news for those who needed some extra reassurance...

i have been anticipating this game for a while now, unforunately i have to stop myself from buying it for a while as i have important exams coming up otherwise it would be a day one purchase. atleast late Nomvember i will have a blast playing it.

I was watching someone play as some kind of fire character. It was great setting everyone on fire. Also he did this cool move where he would rush foward in slo mo and set the other person alight in a huge fireball.

My hype had kind of deflated for this one, but I have been warming up to it again as of late. I'll probably wait until November 3rd and pick up a copy along with Dragon Age.

Here's the conclusion:

"Borderlands only true downfall has to be the fact that it's stuck releasing between Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2. If this was releasing in an off-month like June or July, it would receive praise and Game of the Year notions in terms of quality of play; however, due to its release schedule, it may get mixed in the gray of other GOTY-worthy candidates. It also doesn't help that Borderlands is geared more towards the hardcore gamer opposed to the casual player. Those enjoying the aspects of grindings those levels out in co-op or solo mode will enjoy Borderlands for everything it is…those who don't, should probably rent it first. As for me, I'm a hardcore gamer and feel Borderlands is worth every penny and then some – especially once Zombie Island is released. Bring on the pain!"
