Ok so tommorow im going out and getting a hdtv for my bedroom, and i want a new game 2 test it out, now these are the top 2 games i want right now so im just asking for the PEOPLE THAT OWN BOTH, witch is a better bang for your buck, so try 2 keep in mind that Uncharted Drake's Fortune was the first game i bought with my ps3 2 years ago and ive had fallout 3 since launch and i love both 2 death.

Now i love the loot and rpg shooter quallities of fallout3 but also i loved the awsome gameplay and graphics from uncharted. Also i do like multiplayer but in a deathmatch type game i tend not to be so good and not often play as much as the next kid but the boarderlands multiplayer looks really sweet. anyway so what do you think i will have more fun with in the long run? Thanks again and sorry for the long post. :)

Just so you know, Borderlands isn't super duper open world free roam, like Fallout 3. There are areas divided up by ludicrously long, loooong load times (up to 45 seconds). Other than that, it's really, really fun once you get past the buggy online system and the mic hiccups. I heard someone say it's a cheap man's FO3, which I suppose is kind of accurate in some respects.

Regardless, there are plenty of gameplay hours to be had here.

Uncharted is pretty uhh.. self-explanatory.

There is a game recommendation thread (seriously, all of these "which game should I get" threads are getting out of hand)

Wait wait wait slow down buddy! lol I know what your saying but... If you highly think about it UC2 is a great and sexy game which makes your day for... -Trophies -A great story and a cast that will make you smile again from recognizing them from the first with new characters and villians -The Online Play which gives out great fun and a co-op online (really different from story mode tho) -And the Reviews and sales and how it boosted PS3 up (if you are that type of person to know stuff like that) Borderlands -They said its a great FPS but more like a RPS (role playing shooter) and it was made by 2k Games (the company that Bioshock is under) -They its "Sumwhat" Fallout like and the First Person shooting is more effective as in more focused than Fallout 3 and Fallout 3's battle system should've been like it -It has 4 Player online co-op so that's sexy right there if you ask me. -it gotten a 5 out of 5 and a 9.5/10 (if you are into stuff like dat) -Trophies But if you ask me i'll say... IF you want a long challenging game go with Borderlands. If you want a game that has a good and has been highly reviewed and sucked off from here to japan of course that is a system seller...go with Uncharted 2. But They are both worth it. It's just that... Bad News for Uncharted to me: After I spent my 60.00 (even though its worth it) I got bored of the game becuase I platted it and a played through the story twice. But if you are going to play online and etc role with it. Bad News for Borderlands: I HATE THE DAMN GRAPHICS!!! I mean it's probably worth it but it seems like some Robot Chicken type Sh!t lol....

lol, The graphics aren't that bad... I didn't understand why everyone was complaining until I saw the very first trailer of the game and thought "Wow... this would have been so much more cooler and serious."

It seems like they took the easy way out... because when you make huge mountains of trash like the ones that are in the game, it's easier to just make a huge mound and then draw the details onto it, rather than render in 3D every little thing sticking out of the mound, like a pipe here or piece of tin sheet metal there.

lol, Yeah, I definitely agree that Borderlands would have been nicer without the cartooniness, but it isn't as bad as a lot of people think. Plus, the games on that list look ten times better than Borderlands, anyway, so you're not really missing much in comparison.

Okay Borderlands and Bioshock are put out by the same publisher, but they are made by different developers. Gearbox made Borderlands (also Brothers in Arms and Half Life expansions). 2K Boston made Bioshock and 2K Marin are making Bioshock 2. I think some people are confused. Gearbox has nothing to do with Bioshock and vice versa.

Borderlands is a fun game but Uncharted 2 is an experience. Its the only game that Ive beaten the single player and gone right back and played it on the hardest difficutly immediately afterwards in a long long time.

Uncharted 2 is easily one of the best games you could choose to play on your new HDTV. The graphics will floor you and the game ain't too shabby either. (to say the least)

Borderlands however, is full of dull wastelands and deserts. It's definately not the best way to first experience your new TV's high definition goodness. It has an interesting art style, but the game is frankly just ugly compared to UC2.

For me personally, Uncharted 2 was a much better buy. The single player is one of the best you'll experience for an action game, the co-op modes are a lot of fun, and the multiplayer is pretty well done, too.
Borderlands benefits from a longer single player mode, plus the ability to co-op with up to 3 other people through it. But considering the loot in Borderlands goes to whoever picks it up first, it can be frustrating unless you're playing with friends you can trust an communicate with.

Uncharted 2 by a long, long way.
