I'm getting very bored as of right now and I've been playing time splitters future perfect on my ps3 since about Dec or so. Anyway I decided to buy my ps3 early in order to not have to pay an extra $20 for the ps2 online adapter since was included in the ps3. Also, at this time I decided not to buy Resistance Fall of Man at launch because I was going to buy Haze in March but the game never came out around that time and I was really disappointed. Anyway I don't own any ps3 games since I feel like there are not any worth getting at $60 and I would be content with time splitters future perfect till the end of the summer but the servers were killed about a week ago and are no longer running....So I'm getting very bored and am wondering what to do for cheap entertainment on my ps3 to hold me over till the end of August when Warhawk comes out because then I can play that till more games that I want come out and I will probably get about 5 or 6 games in the fall. So I need something cheap to hold me over for the next month and a half till warhawk arrives. I have thought about renting games for 2 months and then dropping the service. Do you all have any ideas...and by the way for all you smart @**** out there I already have a job.

Renting for 2 months wouldn't be a bad idea. It seems like you're somewhat into shooters. EB Games has a HUGE used ps2 selection usually. If you haven't played BLACK, I'd suggest giving that a try.

Black never did live up to the hype that was expected of it. I would of bought brand new if it had but the only fps games that did seem to do well on the ps2 were the time splitters games. I've checked out the prices of various rental companies on the web and they do offer different prices with Gamefly being the most expensive at $16 a month, got to play at $12 a month, and then there is another that charges about $9 a month and that will probably be the one I go for. $12 isn't bad though and I may just go with got to play because I would like to go with something that is under $10 a month and if the service is good enough for under $10 a month I may just hold on to it because thats a bargain to me because I never really know how good a game really is till I sit down and play it.

Now that I think about it the one that cost $9 a month doesn't have half the quantity of games as got to play does. With the got to play they have 4000 games or so with the other site having only around 1600 games. Actually got to play charges $13 a month since its $12.95 my bad. I wish there were more online rental companies out there because they would lower the prices more and there would be more stiff competition but there is only a matter of time till this sort of thing happens and its going to happen in the near future but the most ideal thing for me would be a company that charges under $10 a month that has a vast supply of games which doesn't seem to exist just yet.

Get .hack//G.U. Vol 1//Rebirth & .hack//G.U. Vol 2//Remenisce. They are PS2 games, one came out this year, the other came out late last year. Action RPG's. You need to play .hack//G.U. series in order, original series isent imoportant, only the games with G.U. in the titlee, which is two right now, but three starting september.

VOLUME 3 COVER!! :D :D :D :D :D

omgimonfire13

The only reason I won't buy Resistance is because in a few months Haze or some other fps game will come out and be much better than Resistance so paying $60 for it simply isn't an option for me at this point in time. Anyway I like all kinds of games such as fighting games, racing, fps, rpgs, action/adventure games, and rarely do I buy strategy games.

I plan on buying in the fall Tekken 6, burnout 5, Uncharted Drakes fortune, Haze, Warhawk, Socom, GTA4, Heavenly sword or Assassins, and maybe UT3. Of course I will probably buy whatever games get the best reviews to make sure I get my money's worth. As you can see I have more than 5 or 6 games listed so I might have a hard time making my mind up in the future and thats exactly why I won't buy a game like Resistance or something right now to hold me over for a month or so. I may not buy Heavenly Sword since I heard that it only takes about 12-15 hours to beat and thats a problem for me when I'm paying $60 for it so I might just rent that game.

I saw enchanted arms for $20 too, it's everywhere for that price. But after reading reviews I guess it's got a lot of transexual themes, which I don't even now what that means. All I know is I'm into women so it's a no buy for me.

If you have not tried the Champion of Norrath games, those are pretty good. There is the Star Wars Battlefront series, I am pretty sure those are both 19 or less. You could always start from scratch and try to finish 100% of Timesplitters 2. That ought to take you awhile. My last suggestion is read a book.
