That's not so bad, at least the PS3 has a guaranteed hard drive, else this'd be really tricky...ShmenonPie
bad for the folk that buy the bluray version, might as well stick it on a cd xD
but then again i guess it does need to be small enough to download
*edit*
are you sure the game doesn't 'unzip' and is just compressed to 800mb for faster download times.
Why is this bad for the people buyign the blu ray version? I dont understand what this threads about.
Are you sure you're all reading this right? It seems to me like the games needs 800MB free for caching files, not that the final version of the game is 800MB. Why would you need a BD to hold 800MB? It doesn't make any sense....demos are gigs sometimes so there is no way a full game can be 800MB.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It's compressed for the download. But that cache is different. The data on BOTH the Blu-ray and DL will inflate the data as you need it so you can play it uncompressed form. This is what the cache is for. Decompression takes cpu work. So, sometimes it's best to leave it uncompressed on the disc and just stream it (or stream it from the HDD). Just depends. As far as shipping games. You can't ship a 10GB game (or how ever large it is on the disc/features). This is why the DL has to be massively compressed and then uncompresses for jsut the parts you need. Of course this takes extra loading times. It's all come down to a trade off.Exactly. [QUOTE="gizmo_logix"]Warhawk Needs 800MB Similar to RFOM, VT3, RR7, NGS.gpsych
So?
I posted that just so some n00bs dont' freak out and say, "Whoah! 800GB! That sux0rs!" when many other games use even more data space.[QUOTE="gpsych"][QUOTE="gizmo_logix"]Warhawk Needs 800MB Similar to RFOM, VT3, RR7, NGS.gizmo_logix

Both gundam crossfire and ridge racer 7 use 4 and a half+ gigs for goodness sakes. Vf5 is 2 and a half. 800megs is nothing. Besides if its that big of a deal, you can delete it and install it again later. Its a very time consuming process, but it'd work since yours saves are in another folder.hazukii played the demo of that game. it was one of the worst games ive ever played
