Bought a Vita, couldn't pass up a bundle deal, Vita + 4gb + Little Big Planet for £189.99, which was very reasonable. I also ordered Rayman Origins, Mortal Kombat and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Its a very neat machine, witha great game catalog, hopefully there are some Vita exclusives in the future. For some reason I see myself heading away from the home consoles and towards portable gaming with my 3DS and Vita. I do however though have a gaming PC, so I guess I still have that covered.

In the same boat kind of, moving away from consoles ( i mean i still have all of them, just play them much less) its a fantastic piece of hardware, i'd highly recommend Persona 4 if you like RPGs.. Hopefully next year will be a bit kinder to the vita, software wise.

I got a Vita recently too, and so far it's taken some time away from me playing my PS3, but overall it's still going to be my secondary gaming device, but a solid one at that. The library is okay, but it could definitely use some more big titles.

I caved in and bought one recently for the same reason; a lot of good deals this time of year. I'd suggest looking into Playstation Plus, you'd get Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Mortal Kombat with some smaller PSN games. When your subsciption ends you can't play the games you downloaded through it so be wary of that. Exclusives for next year are Killzone, Soul Sacrifice and Tearaway but that's about it for now.

Na, I probably won't get Playstation Plus, don't like the idea of not owning the physical copies of the games, which is weird for PC games I am fully digital, but for consoles I prefer the physical games.

Hopefully more & more gamers will get a PSV since we all know a larger install base would attract more devs to support this great handheld..

Meh if you want portable phones do just fine, not need for a dedicated gaming device.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Vita, godfather. I'm pretty much in the same situation as you described - I'm not playing console games as much these days, and I've really drifted towards preferring handheld game systems over game consoles. I also still play some games on my PC, and I really don't see that going away anytime soon. But to me the handheld is my main game system, because it's more personal than a console that sits in the living room, and it has its own screen and everything right there.

I also share your feelings about buying physical copies of games for the Vita. Even in the face of a fantastic PSN + program. I will buy download-only PSN games digitally, but otherwise I stick to cartridges. I think part of that is I realize how quickly 4, 8, 16 and even 32 GB of memory can fill up. If I could have 120 or more GB of space on the system, then I'd be all for complete digital download on the Vita. But as it stands, I need as much room as I can have. There's also just something about owning a game, and having it there in front of you - it's like you really do own it, then.

I'm hoping this year will be a better one for the Vita. I think it will be, but I'm anxious to see if developers are going to give more attention to the system in 2013. I'm hoping for exciting announcements at the game shows this year, with impressive games that really help to sell the system and show its power to people who are on the fence about getting one. Either way though, I think it has some decent games out now, and I'm happy with it.

Thank you for your ten cents. I'm surprised that you took the time to visit this forum, if you have zero interest in dedicated handheld game systems to begin with.

I would take that even further and say its not even close. Vita is on a whole different level. At best, my iPhone is mildly adequate. If its all I had to game with, i would transition to another hobby. haha

I would have to agree about the Vita. Now I think more about playing Vita than PS3 also. Its taken over as the primary system I consider when playing games and buying games. I've had one since launch, but the fall releases have given the boost the system needs. I bought NFS, LBP, PS All Stars, and COD. NFS is just as fun on Vita. LBP Vita is more fun than LBP1 I had for PS3. COD multiplayer is easily the best on a mobile platform and is a lot like COD4 (before they got out of hand with perks and killstreaks). With Sly Cooper 4, Tearaway, and Killzone coming up, Vita is getting more of my attention for sure. I honestly dont have a single PS3 game I am interested in buying next year.

You are comparing games with different genre but yes puzzle games like LBP is really fun. I am a puzzle gamer and I enjoy puzzle games a lot.
