Bought Battlefield 3 used. Do I have to pay to play online?

Bought Battlefield 3 used for the ps3. Do I have to pay to play online?

Anyone? I asked this a few days ago and still no answer

Of course you do.. The only games you can play online without needing PSN+ are "Free" to play games.. Warframe, DC Universe, Blacklight ect..

You do not need PS Plus to play online with PS3.

But not having a PS Plus subscription means you miss out on a great service which practically drowns you in great games.

My question was for ps3 and as far as I am concerned playing online is free. With that said I want to know about playing BF3 online. Will I have to pay still? I know recently EA pulled the plug on their online pass code for their games but for their older games when the pass code was in effect like BF3 do I still need a online pass to play online?

@dopeboy206: The online pass should now appear as a free download. Search for it on the PlayStation store.

But Battlefield 3 on consoles is not that great. Its playable, but your not getting the full experience that Battlefield 3 offers.

You should have bought Battlefield 4, besides the technical problems, I have heard it is quite good and what Battlefield 3 should have been.
