hi everyone

i have a 80gb ps3 system, not launch one, with a 500gb hdd and until now it works flawlessly.

recently i noticed that gta games were on discount and since i have psn plus i got gta4 for about $10.

downloaded installed it and played it, well almost.

the problem is that i cant play the game because of its constant freezing. i cant even get to the first mission.

im really worried since i dont know if i can get a refund, i spend $10 on this game (i know it isnt too much but its money after all) and now im wishing i had bought something else.

i already tried deleting the save files, deleting the game, redownloading it and reinstalling it, disabling internet connection, etc.

any help with this? thanks

I remember this being an issue when the game first came out, but it was the disc based versions, although I don't know what possible solutions may have been.

I found this, hopefully it'l help.

i'd try just deleting and re-downloading the game. if that doesn't help then i'm not sure what would

sounds like your system could be bricking. maybe its not the game but your system itself. defragged it lately?

It's not the game, it's your system. I just bought and downloaded GTA IV as well and have had no problems.

Maybe the game didn't download correctly, or maybe you had previous hard copy GTA IV saves on your system or something? Try deleting everything related and download it again.
