I was just wondering if its a good game because I'm a little skeptical about superhero games cause its either hit or miss with them.

Infamous is a fun and fantastic game. I also got it when Best Buy had a $30 deal like a week after launch. I played through it three times (I missed one trophy my second playthrough) to get the platinum. Is a great game and I look forward to a sequal.
then whyd you buy it before doing research?I was just wondering if its a good game because I'm a little skeptical about superhero games cause its either hit or miss with them.

It is the best superhero game I've ever played, much better than all other superhero games if you ask me (yes I'm looking at you Arkham Asylum.) It is my favorite game of 2009, although my avatar and sig speak differently. :P
He's wondering if he should return it. I wouldn't. He could have just checked the reviews but hey, what are the boards here for...It would have been very wise to research your game before you bought it. If you end up not liking it, then you just shot yourself in the foot.

No. He should have checked reviews, rented it, or borrowed from a friend. You don't just walk into Mordor and spend $30 on a game you're unsure about.
Not bad because that is a really fun game. Plus you will want to play two separate stories so you can see what happens when you are good and what happens when you are bad.

I think the game is good, but we shouldn't be the ones to tell you if a game is good or not. What we think is good might not float your boat.

You don't just walk into Mordor.
Period.
I just beat inFamous the other day (you can of course check my trophy list to verify this) and I admit that it is a great game.
It starts off a little slow in my opinion, but when you get to the second island, it begins to pick up big time. Second half of this game is awesome. This game is worthy of it's 9.0 rating. I'm actually looking forward to replaying the game a second time on hard. The action gets pretty intense during the 2nd half. Good thing you get some pretty awesome superpowers to get the job done.
I have a feeling that on hard you'll almost be forced to use all of the powers dynamically. For most of the game I got by with using the Lightning Blasts and Grenades almost exclusively. I had to change things up quite a bit towards the end. Again...great game. Forget best superhero game. It's the best sandbox game I've ever played. Better than GTA in my opinion.

Well you do choose if you want to be a superhero or be a villain.Well, the guy's not a superhero, so you don't have to worry about that.

The_X_Factor_9
Totally agreed on best sandbox game. However, I can't really compare to any of the GTAs since I haven't played them. Hard was fun. There were a couple of difficult spots / missions, but overall if you've already beaten the game once the challenge isn't that bad. You are right though: It did force me to use powers more dynamically, which made the action all the more fun.
Hey TC, you can feel secure in your purchase and open it already. After all, it did win Best New IP.
