Bought Shadow Fall at gamestop today for 7 Dollars!

Okay so gamestop had a Deal going on these past few months. Trade in any eligible used games in order to get a new game for 10$ or less. Hereis how i got KillZone SHadowfall for 7 Bucks. I traded in Pokemon Diamond and Saints Row 4. The guy said the offer was not included for Ps4 games. SO i cheated the system . Instead i bought a battlefield 4 for Xbox 360 using the 54 dollars in credits i got for trading in the used games and then as soon as i bought it i traded it in for Killzone and therefore got the game for 7 dollars using the same credits i could not use at first. The manager looked at me with a very impressed look and laughed and said "you're a clever person now". Lol Walked away like a Boss.

I'm most impressed they gave you $54 credit for SR4 and Pokemon Diamond. You didn't mean Pokemon X/Y, did you? Even then, that's still surprising.

How in the world did you get $54 for 2 used games (Saints Row 4 and Pokemon Diamond)? GameStop is still selling used Saints Row 4 for $54.99 which is silly.

However, the title should read "Bought Shadow Fall for $7, Saints Row 4 and Pokemon Diamond." You really didn't get the shadow fall game for only $7.

@BH14: No sir, I bought shadowfall for 7 Dollars YES. I traded in Pokemon DIAMOND <--- and Saints Row 4 and got 54 dollars in CREDIT. Therefor i only had to use 7 dollars of my own. I don't think you understood my post. PLEASE read it again :) lol..... I really did get 54 dollars for trading in Pokemon and Saints Row. I have had pokemon since 2006 and Saints Row 4 since its release. I was surprised. It is because gamestop is having an trade in offer for Used games. There is a certain list. If your used games are on the list, you can trade them in to get a new game for 10 DOLLARS or LESS. So i traded them in for battlefield because i could not trade them in for a Ps4 game. They gave me 54 dollars in Credit. So i used it on Battlefield, as soon as i did that i handed battlefield back and they gave me my IN STORE CREDIT. Then i used that to buy Shadowfall with the credit, meaning i only had 7 dollars to pay. Bam.

Yep POKEMOn DIAMOND :) Not Pokemon X/Y. Pokemon DIamond is a super old game and i was suprised as well.

@RiKanKiDD: If I had $54 GameStop credit and bought a game for $54 with it, does it mean that I got the game for free? Of course not..... You traded in your 2 games and simply used the gamestop credit to help purchase another more expensive game. Buying a game for $7 means going into the store, giving $7 (with no gift card or credit) to clerk and walking out with the game. Shadow Fall = $7 + $54 Credit (Saints Row 4 + Pokemon Diamond).

Pokemon diamond sells surprisingly high on ebay still and around $30 right now. Saints Row 4 sells about $30 on ebay as well. Take in account ebay fees and shipping.... GameStop option was better. Rare instance when trading in games at gamestop actually benefits.

BF4 was used or new when you did this transaction ?

I know why he got so much for his used games.... I looked at GameStop website and they are running a promotion. 30% EXTRA IN-STORE CREDIT when you trade in any items toward purchase of Battlefield 4. That is why he got so much for Pokemon and Saints Row 4.

Edit: Nevermind, i just checked Gamestops website and BF4 is $54 pre-owned.

@23Jarek23: 7 dollars is 7 dollars. I did not pay for Saint row 4. It was a gift and pokemon is like 6 years old. therefore. 7 dollars. Get out of here :)

@BH14: i got KILLZONE for 7 dollars. Never bought Saints Row 4, it was gifted. and i bought Pokemon like 5-6 years ago. Therefor the game was seven

You told @BH14 to "Read it again" as if he didn't know how. Yet you forgot to include this bit of information in all posts prior to this one, leaving the assumption that you still had to pay more than just the $7. But even then, regardless of the fact that they were gifts. They were still your possessions which were of value, someone at some point paid for them. You had to give them up in order to get the game @ the price of $7.

By your logic I could trade in my old Honda Civic currently valued at $5000 and get a newer model for and additional $2000. So does that mean I only payed $2000 for a $7000 car because I bought my Honda years ago and traded it in towards the new one? No, I still lost $5000, plus the $2000. Obviously this is a much larger scale and the value of a car vs. a game is much greater. But you still had to give something of value up. Therefore, your logic is flawed.

@23Jarek23: Same thing i Saved a bunch of money by getting rid of two crappy out dated games i will never use again giving them no value to me. They gave me credit and i got a huge offer and saved 54 dollars on Killzone. I dont care how you people view it. Geez you people are so annoying with this? What is this a game you're trying to win? The point is i only spent 7 dollars out of my money by using credit i would never get back as cash. Used it on Killzone and bam 7 dollars only out of my wallet. Please both of you can leave me alone now, you're so annoying :)

The point of the thread is not only about the 7 dollars i only payed for the game but i took gamestops offer and twisted it in order to get a PS4 game for cheap, which is very unlikely now. I used their deal that was only for Xbox and Ps3 games and found a whole in the system and transferred the money onto a Ps4 game. The guy looked at me as if he's never thought anyone would try that lol.

@RiKanKiDD: Yeah no problem, I'll never forget how Gamestop's offers screwed me as a little kid in how I traded in all my old games when I clearly should have held on to them for sentimental value. There's a really good Target Deal for PS4 games (Buy 2 get one Free), but it can't beat Killzone for 7 bucks

This thread has given me cancer. If your grandmother gave you a 60 dollar check for your birthday, would you buy a game with it and then come on here and state that you got said game for free? This is the same thing you are doing. If you run into a good deal then by all means share it, but it's very misleading to say that you got anything for $7.
