I haven't played it yet, but just saw the commercial on tv. Two things I am thinking

1) This looks real cool

2) They promote downloading the demo. Is this the first game that comes out in tv-ads and state - download the demo???

You cant be serious! Sure the fighting looks cool if it had more than just a few combos to use, the takedowns are cool though by it just seems its more of a cutscene game than the actual game play. it needs a lot more work to keep from getting boring early in to the real game IMO. It needs a lot more choices in the fighting or its going to get old quick, the shooting was definately horrible compared to lots of other games cant believe this game is getting any hype like this is was a 6.5 at best

Wow. What I've noticed about this generation of gamers and half the old generation of gamers is that you guys are amazed extremely easily. I played bourne and I didn't like it at all and here's why:

1. The combo's that were demostrated in the game were very dull. Although, these combo's might not be the only ones in the final game....the kick/punch mechanics were not up to par.

2. The graphics weren't even close to next gen in my eyes. I'm not really a graphical person since I judge most of my games on story, gameplay & music, but bourne's graphics are not good to me at all.

All in all I wouldn't ask my girl for this game yet alone spend $60 for this game. "Awesome" HA! Right.

while i do see your point. i think ppl are just glad to get something different. lately it seems most games are straight up fps, big guns, aliens shoot shoot shoot. i think we deserve some new adventure games that incooperates not only guns but figthing one on one and a good story line which the bourne game does nicely.

True. We do need a change, but jumping on the first game that's not even "Awesome" quality isn't the right way to get it. There are some good games coming up that wont be fps, so I'm not speaking for everyone, but I am going to wait for those games that I see fit to buy rather than wasting my hard earned money on some game that I feel isn't even worth it.

i totally disagree besides unreal tourney, COD4, Resistance and maybe RB6V2 what shooters are there that worth anything. on the other hand you have ratchet and clank, GTA4, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, burnout paradise, warhawk, and you want to state that bourne is a good change by incorporating horrible shooting guns sound like cap guns, fighting in which half is dull and a button for cutscene takedowns and a good storyline which has really yet to be tested since it is a demo.

Lol. There you go. That's what I'm talking about. The bottom line is that this bourne game isn't even good to say the least.

It is awesome lol, its not that im easily impressed but compared to the games thats coming out like haze, and grid, it actually stand out pretty good, you can use combo's with the square and triangle buttons, also use takedowns which is pretty awesome, the graphics may not be their, but its backed up with its cool gameplay, bourne pretty much has a uncharted type of fighting mechancism, when i played haze it was complete garbage, looks like a turok type of environment, no plot behind haze whatsovever, as for grid its actually a real good driving game but it has lousy controls . anyways audience is getting tired of playing fps shooters nowdays, they want something original and creative for once lol, thats mainly why i like bourne, its finally something creative, and you call going into a car chase dull? lol, i dont know about you but this game has fun written all over it. just my piece.

You can do "Takedowns" in Uncharted too. WHOOP A DEE DOO! How is bourne original? Nothing in that game is original..not even the wack gameplay. What was done in bourne that hasn't been done in any other game?

you stated it right there compared to grid and Haze which i do agree are complete garbage is the only reason this game is looking good, fighting is nothing like uncharted you had much more options in how to attack in uncharted than i have noticed in bourne. But its your opinion if you love it buy it, you will probably only finish it once if that and waste your money its a rent game

i don't know :? .....it seems like an old PS2 game to me....the graphics are horrible, the fighting gets repeative, and the shooting felt clunky and cheap :|...the only thing i liked was the take down animations, those are cool to watch ;)

You got the bourne instinct lol jk. Well you cant do car chases in uncharted, bourne feels alot more fun & intense, theres more takedown moves however in bourne, you can slam him against the wall, throw him off the plane, hit him in the door, you name it, its pretty original compared to most of the games coming out like haze, why does it get so much hype? i really dont know, its pretty similar to alot of fps games out right now. and even in the cut scenes, when you press the buttons , thats pretty creative as well, trust me its pretty original compared to alot of games coming out, its all about die soldier die, or kill alien kill lol.

Succeeding at what? It's not even out yet. I mean to each their own, but for this game to be called "Awesome" is a jump way off the cliffs of being rational.

What can I say, the age of gamers is over. These people just want more and more eyecandy.

I admit, the theatrical effect of the Bourne game does indeed make it seem "intense and awesome"... but only for the first 5 minutes. That should be long enough for anyone to notice all the flaws of the game.

Long load times, lack of variety and heavy repetition are just some of the things that plague this game.

If you're getting tired of all the generic FPS games, maybe you should stop buying them. Apparently, some developers still think there is still a market for these things because idiots are still buying them. I find it hard to believe that anyone would even purchase games like Timeshift, Blacksite: Area 51, and so on.

You cant be serious! Sure the fighting looks cool if it had more than just a few combos to use, the takedowns are cool though by it just seems its more of a cutscene game than the actual game play. it needs a lot more work to keep from getting boring early in to the real game IMO. It needs a lot more choices in the fighting or its going to get old quick, the shooting was definately horrible compared to lots of other games cant believe this game is getting any hype like this is was a 6.5 at bestKurupSoldr

its called a demo for a reason.

StanAce

Thats true, idiots buy them crappy games mainly because of the ads, promotions, lower down the price tags, whatever, i havent lost my lust in gaming lol, not yet, :P, how is this game repititive, its far from it in my opinion, i know this is just the demo but the takedown moves you use in this game is amazing, i can play this game like 5 times straight and still dont know what move he will pull off. and as for a variety, its a stealth action game to begin with,. the graphics may not be there, it does take a while to load, but its back up by real good gameplay, jmp.

Exactly my point lol, have any of you played the condemned 2 demo, it was extremely limited, now play the horror survival game full version, and its one of the best ps3 games to date. jmp.

the game comes out in less than a month i highly doubt a lot will change, Condemned was already a proven good game before so not a great comparison there. i never said the game was horrible but its not a mind blowing experience by any means, and to get the praise its getting based on a demo is rediculous. i can almost predicte this game will not get anything over a 7 except for easily impressed people. If you love the game then good for you, you will regret buying it if you plan too, you probably got the best of what you will see in the entire game from that demo

I loved the fighting and take downs. The game was pretty intense throughout, yet I felt it relied on trial and error a little too much. Also, the gunplay was REALLY weak and the sounds were **** but it was a satisfying ride
