Has anyone looked at the boxer ratings for fight night 4? They are wayyy offf. I mean come one Pernell Whitaker is the best boxer of all time? Better than Ali or Sugar Ray Robinson? I hope they either change these before the actual game comes out otherwise it might somewhat ruin what otherwise should be a great game.

I feel like alot of really good boxers got the shaft in the ratings department. Foreman is only an 83 Chavez is only like an 83 but boxers who arent very good have ratings equal to or better than them i.e. Diego Corrales (RIP) and Yuriorkis Gamboa.

Tyson had one thing going for him, freakish super power. other then that he wasn't the greatest boxer he was a light heavy weight at 220. I grew up watching boxing as my dad was a boxer in his younger years so I watched a ton of fights coming up. I was a tyson fan, but he stood flat footed couldn't move too well and his defense wasn't the best ether. his defense was knock em out first before they could figuer out he wasn't the best boxer for say. But sometimes thats all you need to be a winner is super power like tyson had, take away his power and he didn't have much going for himself.

ive also grown up watching boxing although tysons heyday is a little bit before my time, but i have enough knowledge to know that EA got alot of the ratings so wrong. Gamboa, a boxer whos only been around for a few years professionally and has barely beaten anyone important is rated higher than about half the other boxers in the game including Chavez, Pacquiao, george foreman and many others. It really is quite annoyng when you play a boxing game thats supposed to be more realistic then any previous ones but has Pernell Whitaker as the highest rated fighter in the game.

I haven't really looked at the stats, but I would think they put alot of time into the game as its been over 3 years since FNR3. but who knows what or how they rated the boxers "its ea $$". I don't care about the boxers so much, but who they put in the game. they dont have Mayweather, Klitschko the list goes on but these are to big names in boxing today that need to be there. on top of that there are boxers that draw a ? as to why they made the cut Tommy Morrisson. Rocky V anyone, lost to tyson in seconds must had been his biggest fight ever, then he had an hiv scandal and no one heard from again. I would have rather seen Roky, Apollo, Ivan or even Mr. T. I know there is a rocky game, but It would be better to see then some of the boxers there.

EA's ratings have always been way off IMO, so I'm not shocked.

I bet "Pretty Boy" wishes he took whatever EA was offering now that he's in trouble with the IRS. Just like Tyson...he'll be back.

On an actual boxing note: I love Mayweather and he was my favorite boxer for a long time but I am really worried he might lose this one. Marquez is gonna be his best opponent in a long time, im not sure it was smart of him to fight him his first time back. Marquez is one of those boxers that real boxing enthusiasts know is a great fighter but the casual follower wouldnt know. If i was a betting man i would put money on Marquez if not only because the odds are gonna be so stacked against him in this one. Should be an awesome fight and I cant wait. P.S. Marquez def won his last fight with pacquiao he was robbed by the hometown crowd.

If you are going by the ratings in the demo, those are not the final ratings. I beilieve you can see the updated ratings on their website. Mike Tyson definitely deserves to be ranked higher. To say he has no skills at boxing is very inaccurate. He had really good head movement, he was quick, and he had a good feel for the ring along with the hardest punches in boxing.

The biggest travesty of the game is having Sergio Mora on it. His rating should be the lowest on the game. Gamboa is very good. If he would get the chance I bet could beat Rocky Juarez and Chris John.

LOL anyone can look good training and trowing punches at the air n body bag. He had power and speed, but no real defense besides knock em out, once he got into trouble in the ring he never had any comeback for it ever. he only had one thing on the mind knock em out because he could and did that well. he still stood flat footed, didnt have the in and out style nore do I think he could fight well like that anyway. Tyson had most of his oppoents beat before the ever got into the ring with him, so he just did his will on him. There are better boxers out there, Tyson was a puncher and my be the best puncher out there in his prime. I was just saying stat wise this is why it didn't look good on paper because other boxers overall boxed better then him until they got hit n knocked out.

aka tyson would get schooled by almost every other heavyweight in the game and possibly roy jones too. I always thought tyson was overrated

Lol the heavyweights we see fight today are just heavy, nothing compared to Mike back in his prime.

Like many of who follow boxing belive the Prime Tyson would easily take out any of the fighters in their prime.

because tyson beat no one important during his prime and then got knocked out by buster douglass and disappeared. He would stand 0 chance in the ring with real boxers. People who claim that tyson would beat any of the great heavyweights from the 70's doesnt know much about boxing

I know a lot about boxing, and I still think Tyson in his prime would beat a lot of the great fighters from the 70s. You are delusional for thinking because you feel the way you do about him that that's the way it is. There are lots of people on both sides of this argument so stop acting like you are the maestro of everything boxing. I have followed boxing my whole life, and I am convinced Tyson is one of the greatest boxers of all time and not the greatest punchers. You don't get to where he did and have the career he did without being great.

The real problem with Tyson is that he wasn't mentally tough. In the ring he was most defenitely, but outside the ring he was not. I believe he did not know how to handle the fame and pressure that came with his greatness and the stress of it wore him down as a person and a boxer.

would you expect anything else from EA??? The only company that can take three years offf to get something right and they still mess it up
