Boycott Gametrailers petition

There's an online petition which calls for boycotting of GameTrailers because their alleged bias against PS3 is in full effect.

The demands of this Boycott petition are as follows to www.GameTrailers.com :

1) Apologize to the gaming community for misrepresentation of facts by interchanging Xbox 360 and PS3 videos

2) Apologize to the gaming community for sabotaging PS3 videos by showing them at compressed scale

3) Explain their originality scale as a company tool.

4) Explain the difference between Uncharted 2, Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 when it comes to pushing originality.

5) Explain why Uncharted 2's online mode is unoriginal, despite the fact that the first one didn't have one.

What do you guys think?

Man I haven't been to gametrailers in a looooong time. Now that you have reminded me about them maybe I'll stop by.

Wow when I heard of the complaints about the UC2 review I thought it was just fanboys, I can't believe people are taking this seriously.

I don't necessarily have an issue with them (mainly because i don't care what they do or say), but if you feel there's been an "injustice," i don't see why you can't give this petition a shot... i'm sure you'll get some support.

I doubt you'll get very far with this, as most online petitions tend to fail right from the get-go... but you might as well try it.

just make sure you don't spam people with this stuff.

are fanboys seriosly complaining that they only gave uncharted 2 a 9.5 or something? thats kinda ridiculious. the multiplayer is not original, it plays like Gears and assassins creed crammed togetherdarkspineslayer

9.3. And the original Uncharted got a 8.9. That's a better average than GS, and you don't see people complainin about that.

No, I read the first post. I see nothing wrong with GameTrailers reviews, at least nothing more than any other review sites. People will always complain when a site gives a game they love anything lower than a 10. That doesn't mean that there's bias, and definitely no means to boycott. Some of GT's score have been higher than average.

omg just stop, its not about their reviews einstein. its about they're admitted sabotage in comparison videos, optimizing the 360 graphics while using downgraded, component cable standard set up with the ps3. its about their limited exposure of ps3 titles in contrast to the weeks of halo or gears of war layout on the home page and countless videoes on the games, its about ruining 2009s most anticipated title for the ps3 to spite the fans just to make themselves feel better for having nothing, its about the time when former editor admitted on a radio interview with g4 tech that they do purposely favor the 360 openly in their web media and do their best to down grade anticipated releases for the ps3. ffs. just stop, you know nothing. i dont care about reviews, i care about their behind the scenes and under the table corruption in bias at gt. please stop. stop. Well the complaints here are for the review of Uncharted 2, which is explained in a link someone gave above. The link in the first post also seems to complain mostly about review scores compared to others. However, I don't see any links or proof of the claims of sabotage.

Oh God! The end of times are upon us... Uncharted 2: Among Thieves got a measly 9.2 out of 10. That's horrible. :|

i only go onto gametrailers to watch trailers. As well gametrailers being a pretty boring site i never go to them for reviews. I get on to see trailers and see if i might possibly like a gameplus i could care less about how people review games.

From what I can tell it's about Uncharted getting an "apparent" crap review and not about GameTrailers "supposed" biased opinion of the PS3. Note a couple of replies up where I was called out by stating it had gotten an ENTIRE 0.1 point LESS than what it got. So by missing it by that 0.1 point some hardcore fanboy decides to correct me, and then call me stupid.

this is stupid it got a 9.3 big deal its still gonna be great. get over it.

Everyone's opinion is open to bias, whether or not they have a website. I don't really care about another person's opinion of a video game to that extent, especially when they aren't the only source of review information.

I haven't paid any attention to their past reviews but this seems to have been set off by giving Uncharted 2 a 9.3. Uh, that's a good score no matter what game it is. Complaining about it just makes you look like fanboys.

I thought this would be about GT's review of U2 having spoilers. Even though I've head GS's is much worse.

It went from boycotting GameTrailers for supposedly being biased towards the PS3 to people complaining about GT' review of Uncharted 2. GT gave Uncharted 2 a stellar review and even so it's still not good enough for those over zealous little fanatics. They're stupid!

It's almost as bad as that Britney Spears fanatic that threatened to kill themselves because she was being publically berated by the media. It's stupid!

I have two main problems with this

1. Petitions NEVER work

2. Are the reviews at gametrailers not allowed to have an opinion? They are getting paid to give their opinion

I think your sounding like the typical sony fanboy, who cares what they score the game? Your going to get it anyway so why bother making a petition that won't change anything? Its not going to hurt GT in anyway, Uncharted 2 got a great score a93 out of a 100, the game isn't original but so what? Gears 2 and Uncharted 2 was reviewed by different people, it amazes me the amount of hate people have for a website/magazine if their "favorite" game doesn't score high, personally I disagree with you, originally means alot when most games are doing nothing but the same thing, it scored higher then the original and the reviewer said its a better game overall? What more do you want? For him to say its the "Best Thing since the T.V. was invented?" seriously some of you need to grow up a little bit.
