hey i was wonderin if someone could give us any ideas as to how to get a better broadband connection on my ps3, i have a dlink wireless router downstairs and my ps3 is upstairs and i just want a better connection so i can play online without lag obviously, im a noob in the whole area. My ps3 is averaging at around 75-80% signal, but i have had it up in the 90's on the odd occasion.

Anyway what options do i have to get it to 100% ? i was thinking getting like a 20m ethernet cable? but this will involve running up 3 sets of stairs and stuff, and i dont think my olds will let me go drilling holes around the house.

Thanks ..

Don't ask for their permission... or just move your PS3 closer to the router, or the router closer to the PS3.

75-80% connection is pretty good, honestly. The thing that's really interfering with your signal is the fact that it has to pass through (or around) a lot of material before it hits your PS3. Floors are kinda built to be sturdy, so the signal is going to have some problems making a 100% connection.

Your only real option is to either move the router closer to your PS3, or at least get it on the same floor as it (walls are much less solid than floors/ceilings)...or going the hard-wire route.

To get 100% you're gonna need to connect it via ethernet cable.

70-80% is pretty good, my ps3 on a good day only gets about 30% max and regularly drops to around 2%.
