Shouldn't this be Batman vs Solid Snake? Anyways, Batman goes through a lot in Arkham Asylum/City but Solid Snake got guns. He ain't afraid of killing dudes and he's got some damn good CQC which could match Batman's martial arts...so Solid Snake. Also, Snake *MGS4 spoilers*[spoiler] crawls through a microwave tunnel! A microwave tunnel! That's a long narrow metal shaft FULL of intense heat rays! And then he saves the world and then he has a fist fight with his longest nemesis. Just think about that... [/spoiler]
Well, considering Bruce Wayne technically isn't Batman (meaning he can't glide, no gadgets, no armor etc), Solid Snake would win. Snake's CQC+ his guns, would outmatch Bruce's martial arts easily.
Dammit for a second there I thought you said Bruce Willis Vs Solid Snake. That is actually a better matchup because Batman could not exist in real life.
he destroyed countless weapons of destruction, not to mention his awesome weapon skills and CQC. he is also a clone of the best soldier ever. what else do i have to say lol.
I'm kinda curious why some of you guys think Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person :P Batman would obviously win against Snake. But Bruce Wayne (as Bruce Wayne, not Batman), would lose to Snake. I mean its up for debate I guess, but I think my point is valid in some ways :)
It would all come down to hand to hand combat, CQC vs Martial Arts. I say Snake would have the advantage because Batman would be nothing without Gargoyle statues to swing up on and buildings to glide from. Snake on the other hand can adapt to any environment and can get the job done with no assistance from sidekicks or allies.

yea couldn't a said it better.. lol i'm a huge fan of batman, but in a real fight i'm sorry.. snake would embarriss the bat.. :lol:
In a fist fight? And if you mean Bruce with all his toys and gadgets? Simple. Batman. Batman would see solid snakes punches a mile away when those squiggle marks appear above his head. :P Besides I don't see why everyone thinks Snakes CQC is all that great... he can't even take down multiple enemies in close quarters in the games, (actually playing him). Batman is supposedly an expert at many different fighting styles and can take out multiple enemies with ease.
Not really interested in picking a winner though I find myself more on the side of Batman than Solid Snake. Can you imagine what such an event would go for on Pay-Per-View?! An couple of interesting bits of trivia...Bruce Wayne's name, from what I read, is a combination of Mad Anthony Wayne (a general during the American Revolutionary war), and Robert the Bruce (the one who history truly credits with liberating Scotland from England). In MGS2 there is a character named Iroquois Pliskin (did I spell that right?) The character is Snake masquerading as a SEAL, and it is a nod to Kurt Russel's character in Escape from New York. Come to think of it, the premise of the movie Escape from New York is that NYC is now a prison. Kind of like Arkham City. To top it off, Gotham City (where the Batman makes his home) is based off of New York. How's that for coming full circle?

So basically Batman would win because he has the advantage of coming from any direction land or from above whereas Snake would only be able to battle on the ground, and would probably have an advantage there.
