Bulletstorm Demo : what did you fellas think? (Now with Poll!)

So I tried it this afternoon. Thought it was pretty entertaining. Enemies seem to have a gazillion amount of health unless you aim a the head, but headshots are quite satisfying. I found the grappling/kicking thing to be pretty cool to be honest.

It WAS over the top and brainless, but sometimes I don't mind crazy ****. Dialogue was obviously colorful but I didn't find that to be necessarily a bad thing, nor a good thing.

Overall I'd give it somewhere between 7 and 8.

But, as you can attest by my gamer card here, Killzone 3 is a priority over that game (and it's already preordered). I'll watch some reviews and if I'm convinced I might pick it up later for a lesser price.

Wow, that was a stupid Demo. The gameplay was meh, but the voice actors, or the writing is just so god awful. The story seems incredibly lame as well, from what they showed. unless the gameplay got ALOT better than that in the demo, this game will be easily forgotten.

Way too short even for a demo, the only thing that i enjoyed was crushing the guys in the tunel with the sliding boulder (don't even know what that was).I'll wait for someone form my friends to get it first.Will double check how long is the singleplayer and the quality of multiplayer.

ThisIS the games main gimmick. People Can Fly have been pushing this game for months using their main phrase "Kill With Skill".Look up some of the preview videos over the past months, all they are is over the top violent.

Good to average. The demo was way to short to take in the full aspect of the game. The video they show you after shows you alot more of the world and open spaces, with deserts, driving vehicles, man eating plants and so on. I think too many people are putting this in the same catagory as COD, KillZone, BFBC, and MAG. I think this is just a fun, over the top, comedic,corny, fun, don't take to seriouslygame. I will buy on release date along with KillZone 3 since I think they are two totally different games. **OUCH!, says wallet**

I wouldn't wipe my nose on the game. Cliffy's instincts are wrong on this one. The game reminds me of "Manhunt", "BMX XXX", and "State of Emergency"; Using as much "objectionable" content as possible in an effort to make derivative, boring gameplay seem edgy and more involving than it actually is... Thought process being, I'n sure, that as long as you can piss off a US Congressman these days (fish in a barrel), you're bound to get a little free publicity. Unfortunately, "Dead Space 2" beat them to the "Hey This Will Piss Off Your Parents" ad campaign, so this game has tripped hard coming off the line.

Pass.

I though that it was way too easy and the controls are pretty bad.

I played it and it wasn't anything worth playing when you can play many better full story shooters and online as well.

I thought it was cool.

Played on PS3 and Eggbox and thought it was pretty damn fun!

Only reason i won't be buying it, is that i am pretty sure it comes out the same day as Killzone 3!

I thought it was fantastic. Reminded me of Borderlands (in terms of fun factor) a lot. The game I think was very well done however it's just not my kind of thing. At least not day 1 buy for me :)

I think the game is fairly creative but I did find the in-game marketing during the demo kind of lame. "Buy this game so you blow up a lot of s***!" haha, still kinda funny

Wasn't my type of game, looked pretty shallow to me.

I'm not sure what your problem is guy, but really, just relax. We're talking about a video game on a video game forum, I can't think of a less important thing to get riled up about.

And by the way, if the 'Hail Satan' is a reference to my signature, then you are a very closed-minded person. I'm just an atheist, not a satan-worshipper - way to try and cram everybody into a shoebox.

I thought the demo was fun. It obviously wasn't the best thing ever, but it was what I thought it was going to be. I don't know if I'm gonna buy it day 1 with Killzone 3 coming out the same day. I'll buy it somewhere down the line.

If it weren't for the 3DS taking up my funds, it would be on my shelf day one. Awesome demo.

I like run and gun shooters. The demo made me think of old school FPS games. The game just was rather noisy. I know that games sound effects, but there was just something about it that turned me off. The grapple thing was cool and kicking people was also pretty cool. I dislike how they have implemented the crouch. You have to click left analog stick and hold it. Why can't you just click it once to crouch and then again to stand. It has a guilty pleasure feel to it. It might good, but I doubt the singleplayer will that interesting and the overall feel of the game does not seem worth full price.

i played through the whole demo, and i hated this game, i dont like the controls, and dont like the look of it at all, but the cutscene after trying to show you a preview of it with the cussing was funny

I LOVE IT.

I love the fact it doesnt take it self seriously AT ALL. The potty humor is almost like a mockery of games where it is all Brawns over Brain.

The Combat is fun, and I love the fact that I can discover new ways to kill and better ways to make a run, its almost like Bayonetta but FPS.

I just hope competitive MP is good along with its Campaign mode and Hoard type mode.

I am currently ranked in the 14,000s. I scored like 9000 n something points.

I looked at the top place and the Guy finished with 22,000 and I really need to see how the hell he does it haha.

PS: EPIC Needs to add a Replay system where you can save your runs like Black Ops/ Halo

It's not my type of the shooter (I'm more into Socom and thinking man FPS) however, I will admit that I had fun. The game doesn't take itself seriously and it reminded me very much of good old days of Serious Sam.

Not on my purchase list, however I'll rent it to experience some over-the-top action. It's a good break from all the similar shooter this days. I do give developers kudos for bringing something little fresh into perspective, it does look like a fun ride.
