yo I got some great games for Gamestop with cases used for 70.00:P I got Star Wars Battlefront 2, Madden NFL 08, Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA Vice City Stories, and Pursuit Force Extreme justice. :D They were all psp games i have only played Liberty city and must say i am loving it.

It was a tough choice though, they had "Chessmaster" and they had "Coded Arms", and a few more that I wanted... dang that economic shift in my life (getting fired from my job of 11 years recently)! Oh well... finally I can make up my OWN mind about "Monster Hunter" (so ******* sick of the debates on this forum)... if you don't own "Space Invaders" you don't know a great frenetic shooter when you see one (download the demo - I did nad I LOVE it), and "Reel Fishing" cuz I own them all and love them all since the early days on PSOne. On a cold rainy Friday in Chicago, what a great way to spend an evening - NEW GAMES!!!

Seriously, I need ad-hoc friends :D But honestly, even in my jobless state, I'd buy an annonymous gamer a game... in these times, we need a little generosity and acts of random kindness. What can I get for you, if you had one game that someone would buy?

Yeah... I'm totally serious. Here's the thing:

Right now, I'm making about $75 a week working for a church, but I think that would be a cool idea (and no, I don't want you to talk about Jesus or anything). If there's a gamer out there who wants a used game I might be inclined to arrange for that purchase... it's gotta be someone in worse financial condition than me, though... y'know? I don't want some scammer taking good kharma from a broke brother or sister gamer who REALLY needs it. I'm in Chicago. State your case and maybe I'll leave a voucher with a store here in town and we'll make this happen. I'm an old dude on extremely limited income (for now) but I'll put my money where my mouth is.

In a time where execs are screwing us little guys and no one seems to want to show any kindness to strangers we need to set some examples, it's us staying together and doing each other a solid from time to time that's gonna mean the difference of getting through this time in history or not. I have $20 in my wallet for a hard-case who wants a used game, these are depressing times and a new game in your machine may make it a brighter day... I got my fellow gamer's back...

Act locally if you want to do this too... I think what I might do is just go over and hang out at the store one coming afternoon and wait for someone to look at and pick a PSP game and ljump out ike "YOU'RE THE BIG WINNER!!!" and just pay for it and run out like a total freak. I think it would be funny to see the reaction, and what if we could do this all over the place? See how fast we as gamers can become a topic on CNN?

I can just see the confusion on the faces of the suits... :lol: Nothing bothers the civilians more than people treating one another with any sort of respect or decency.

I used to do this back when Garcia was alive (yes, I've been a hippy deadhead in my time) at shows... take an extra ticket and go wander the parking lot all day, finding the person who seemed to deserve a free show and just giving the ticket. The practice was called "Miracle-ing Someone", named after a Dead tune which went "I need a miracle,every day..."

Perhaps it's time to transmute this tradition into another great waste of time (one being the Grateful Dead and the other being our beloved gaming)... I know it's illegal to pay for someone else's parking meter randomly... but I wonder how I could pull this off...

Heh... ya wanna hear something funny in a way? The ******* church I work for just laid me off for two weeks without pay while they have volunteers do the work I used to get paid a meager amount of cash to do... this is REDICULOUS on the irony scale... I talk about doing something a little "Christian" and I get a **** dropped on my head.

And in another odd turn, my insurance company has called and my new carrier has accepted me, saving me a ton of $$$ on continuing my health insurance... so you give a little, you take a little...

... I am gonna turn that good luck around on someone, somehow...

I took full advantage of that deal at Gamestop and then some. Let's just say, I got yelled at by my mom when she saw how much I spent. If you're a gamer, you'd understand that the total I spent was a BARGAIN compared to what I would have spent had the games not been on sale. Plus, a few of them weren't even for me. They were birthday presents for friends.
