Buying a PS3 at gamestop

Gamestop offers a $50 online gift card when you purchase a ps3. I was hoping for a price cut but since that doesn't appear to be happening maybe this is my best bet. Does anyone know if this is something that they have all the time or is the gift card just a limited time only thing?

I am going to Gamestop because I have store credit to use, otherwise I would be going to Best Buy.

Sams club had up to a $100 gift card on the 160gb - not sure if it is still in effect or you / the family are members

Yep what he said...... also why dont you try to trade in your old games and make the price lower?.. my brother also bought a ps3 and what he did was he traded in some of his old games (psp games) and i gave him some of the old games such as CoD4 which gave me a $50 credit :D and some psp games.. all went the price down to $200 :P.. its better than having old games laying around.personally i think its a great deal. trade in some games and use what u have from the store credit and you might buy it in less than $200 :) .. do ur reseach alil more forget all the gift cards etc buy ur ps3 from walmart because with walmart u can get a added 2 year warrenty on top of ur already given 1 year sony warrenty and after the 2 years are up u can always revise ur warrenty i think a 3 year warrenty for a ps3 is a gud deal

i have $350 in credit at gamestop, my only option is to buy it there..

I am sure this is a special offer - they do that on occasion.

I saved up Gamestop gift cards for three years and finally got close enough so that with what I had on my Edge Cards I had enough to get the 160 gig model.

I am very happy and have it set up next to my PS2 and now have started saving for something else.
