Buying a PS3, but could use some advice, please help.

Hey guys, I'm going to be buying a PS3 in a few weeks, and I have a few things that I am unsure of,

First off, I have a iLo ( walmart brand) plasma HDTV that supports 480i 480p 720p 1080i, will that be completely fine?

Second, Cables, I still have my PS2's AV cables, would that be fine to use? or is it a must to have HDMI cables or any other ones?

Third, Games, what are the best games out right now that I should buy, Rainbow 6 Vegas got a 9/10, would that be worth picking up?

That's pretty much it, if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

get the HDMI cable it will give u better pictures and yes the plasma is fine too and make sure u GET Heaveenly Sword when it out at the end of September.

Yep thats fine.

PS2 av cables will work with the ps3. But I would suggest hdmi if you have that port on your tv. Order one from monoprice.com. Great quality and will cost about $10 shipped. You can use your ps2 av cables until they arrive.

Resistance, Rainbow 6, Ninja Gaiden, Motorstorm, Marvel Alliance and Darkness are all very good games. i enjoyed Rainbow 6 alot. Just remember its not a run and gun game. Its mostly duck and fire, runs towards closer cover and duck and fire again. If you like run and gun Resistance would probably be better for you.

you can buy a hdmi switcher -- search this forum I posted awhile back about it. Pay attention when buying since they can be had pretty darn cheap at places like monoprice.com (same as hdmi cable).

This would let you have both cable and ps3 in - you have to manually press a button on the switcher (flick a switch), but at least it is easier than unplugging and plugging in the cable every time.....
