I was wondering whether I should buy A PS3 Slim or an Xbox 360 Slim. This pawn shop I go to all the time have another one for $200 probably alot of gigs and Gamestop has the 360 Slim 4GB for $199.99 with tax because I live in california 217.99. I heard that the PS3 is all around reliable from my friends and they all have PS3s, and the pawnshop I go to is awesome. Everything I buy from them, even a PS2 and a Ipod Touch works. So I am wondering what should I do?

PLEASE ANSWER.

Why would you buy a used slim ps3 now? You could get a slim ps3 with $50 credit from target for $249.99. If you wait like 2 weeks, you can get it from Radio Shack for only $199.99 and that comes with a $20 credit. Never buy used unless the deal is really amazing and your pawn shop doesn't have that great deal.

Slim is newer and far better at cooling and gives off less heat so it's a much safer bet to get a used Slim than a fat so yeah shouldn't be that bad to buy it used.

I'd say save up and buy a new one with a one year warranty.

As great as the pawn shop might be, I'm going to guess they're not going to warranty the system for a year and it'd be damn shame to drop $200 and have the system cack in a month or two, when for $50.00 more you could have got a new one.

$217 is still too much, consider getting one later during the Black Friday sales or on Amazon. No Shipping/Sales tax $250. Plus it would be new and would have a warentee. Only logical thing to do in my mind.

I would get a PS3, but not at a pawn shop :/ those are always so sketch, you never know who's selling them.

I actually just got my new Slim for $140 at a local pawnshop that came with all the manuals, box, and other stuff. Works like a charm! I would give it a go!

They are not always "sketch". I run a pawn shop and whenever systems come in that people want to sell we test the hell out of them before we even consider buying, very rarely anything gets returned to us. I think the whole "every pawn shop is sketchy" is just a silly little stereotype.
