Hey everyone!

So, I was watching quite a HEAFTY amount of YouTube videos, and people talking about the great line up of RPGS available for the system. I did some more poking around, and saw that it's possible to download essentially, Final Fantasy 1-9!

Disgusting!

Then I saw the awesome amount of PS1 games avialable....so now I'm thinking...

Hmm....not really. Though only Final Fantasy IV is missing from the lineup (as in - a PSOne version exists, but is not currently on the PSN), Chrono Trigger is. (which is funny since it came with IV's PS1 port) But honestly, the PS1 versions of 1-6 are their worst versions.

I got my psp for psone classics although that was a second hand psp1000 in all fairness, I never regretted the decision though and there are actually some pretty good psp games to pick up cheap these days (you will probably enjoy Crisis Core).

PS. Vangrant Story on a handheld = :D.

There are quitea few PS1 games, and if you want to be able to play them on the go, sure. Any of the PSPs will play them though, so just make sure you get a good deal.

Thanks for the replies!

I noticed two of you guys recommended getting good deals, or talking about older models. I was thinking of a psp brand new by default...you guys are saying any older model psps are just as fantastic to play these gems?

If you intend on buying a Vita, it would be a dumb move to get the 3000. But if you don't plan on getting a Vita, then yes it is worth it. The Vita will play everything the 3000 will play excluding UMDs.

I'd buy the GO, or the Vita, as they both have superior screens. The GO is a true portable, and the Vita will surely get support at some point.

I don't recommend getting the 3000 only for PSOne classics. They play pretty horribly on the PSP depending on which game you get. Some need the assistance of the L2 and R2 buttons with the PSP lacks. The L2 and R2 buttons are binded to the left and right d-pad buttons I believe. But for games where the L and R2 buttons are required for strafing (shooter games) then the game becomes unplayable since the slide pad is required for you to move. Your thumb can't be in 2 places at once. I would recommend you getting the PSP for PSP games. They have great titles such as Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Syphon Filter Logans Shadow, Killzone Liberation, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Crisis Core FF7, Metal Slug Anthology, Megaman X Maverick Hunter, and a bunch of other titles.
