Why would you buy a PS3 with YLOD? You should just buy it brand new and save all the hassle of fixing it and getting YLOD again, or If your low on cash maybe a refurbished one from Sony or a game store what comes with warranty.
I wouldn't recommend it. It is a temporary fix and it cost 150$ to send it to Sony. My 80GB failed at reading any kind of disc and I sent it for repairs and a few months later it gets YLOD. It's best to buy a new console and if you want a longer warranty, get the Playstation Protection Plan.
Don't unless you have talent in fixing a complicated circuit board. Better spend your time to look for good new PS3 deal than fixing YLOD. Buy it new, save yourself from headache and disappointment.
