buying gow3 just for the hype and w/o playing 1&2?

is this the most hyped game ever? looks like it.. i played a bit of gow1 but didn't get into it.. and never played the 2nd. now coz of this crazy hype it's so contagious i might get it.. and just to see how this game pushes the ps3 to it's limit and because it's exclusive(haha ya i'm cheap sometimes):P.. or is uncharted 2 who pushes the ps3 more to the limit? or are there other games that pushes the ps3 to it's limit like mgs4/gta4/heavy rain.. etc. btw i have all the games i mentioned. is it worth it? my other options are ff13 or wait for gta episodes coz i think these two games has more to offer..

i think you may have answered your own question. you stated that you didn't like god of war 1 and never played 2. then you go on to say that final fantasy and the new episodes of gta have more to offer. problem solved. i however, will be playing god of war 3 and loving it.

I plan to pickup GOW3 and i havent played 1 or 2 because i never had a ps2 and hadnt had a ps3 until a few weeks ago, so i have been reviewing both 1&2 on GOW Wiki and pretty much know exactly what happens in 1& 2

The God of War Collection is around $30. Thats a great deal for two terrific games. I bought the God of War Collection without before playing God of War 3 having not have played them on the PS2 and Im glad I bought them and played them before God of War 3.

yea haha just do it, you can always get a recap of what happened on wikipedia, games radar, g4tv etc (those are all the places ive seen them)
