Am I the only one who actually tries to buy NEW games at Gamestop instead of used just to help Sony? I see no harm in spending an extra 5 dollars for Heavenly Sword when I know that sell is helping Sony, and not Gamestop. I mean, if it's like 20-30 bucks cheaper (they rarely are unless they're really old 3 dollar used games) then I'll buy it. But I'm not going to skimp and save 5 bucks to give Sony a sell for the "struggling" PS3. Anybody else do the same?carljohnson3456
Yep. I believe in supporting companies when they make something I like. And If you're already spending $50 - $60, another $5 or $10 dosen't matter. Also, I hold onto my games and I'm picky about condition, so I like being the only owner.
I think once the games hit the shelves they are not sony's anymore, they are the stores,so by buying NEW games you arnt helping sony out, you are helping the store, and they are going to buy back used games regardless, so they wouldnt receive new games as long as they have some sort of copies.
Usually I would always go with new games, but Blu Rays don't really scratch and are really hard to damage, so a used game is as good as new

i see it the same way as you
i would rather pay the extra $5 for security of it not being messed up

If Sony sells 100 copies of a game to the store you are right, it is not Sony's game anymore they made their money. But for every used copy of a game that is sold that is another new copy that they aren't selling which means they aren't ordering as many from Sony which results in less money for them.
So by buying used games, and I'm talking a game that is up to 6 months old, not something that was released years ago it's kinda technically hurting Sony.

Big stores like Best Buy order quantities based on pre-orders and what they expect to be able to move. If PS3 games aren't moving off the shelves, it affects future orders.
