I'm getting an HDTV and a PS3 very soon, but I have no idea what I need to hook the two up.

I found component cables and such but I dunno which one I need.

Also how big does your TV have to be to run 1080p? I've only seen one TV by Sony thats over 50" that has 1080p.

HDMI is best, component cables are a close second. I agree with maksumic, monoprice.com is the place to shop for cables.

There are TVs that have a native resolution of 1080p and those that have a native res of 720p that can display a 1080p signal by upscaling it. If you want 1080p native resolution, which is theoretically best for Blu-Ray, be sure to check for that. Otherwise a 720p that upscales is just fine. In the final analysis though, how it looks to you is more important than whether it is 720p or 1080p native resolution.
