Call of Duty 4 for the PS3?

Yea I have too buy it again because you see my XBOX got the one red ring of death ERROR 74 message and I was not going to pay $100 to microsoft to have it repaired since it is out of warrenty.mI really like playing COD4 though on the 360. I was wondering should I just go ahead and buy it again for my PS3?

only difference is the community xbox live is larger and more people have headsets

I've played both versions really and there isnt THAT much of a difference. I do prefer the one on ps3 though. I'm not dishing anything out to the 360 because both systems have their ups and downs and this isnt a place to discuss which one is better and if you do go to system wars :p I think cod4 is better on the ps3 because the graphics have inhanced a bit better (it could also depend on your tv though) and with my time on xbl, all I ran into was jerks. On ps3 I have only had the issue about maybe 3 times? But whatever thats just my opinion, in the end if you have cod4 thats what counts really ^_^

the gameplay is exactly the same

and to be honest i just recently played it on the 360 at the same settings as my PS3 and i really really hated the way it looked, and it was played on a "better" HDTV than mine

i had to go home and play on PS3 to redeem myself

How? What fun is playing a video game if you're going to hear someone cuss, and make insults at you the whole time? When I have a kid, you better believe he wont be playing online, (or at least not chatting) just because there are so many immature punks on there who cuss up a storm for no reason. That ruins the game experince.

Gives you more incentive to stick a frag up someones ass its makes the difference neteween playing with bots and real people,and its not always like that only lil american kids do it and their quite funny

You're right, it's not always like that, but it is like that a good portion of the time. It's funny to hear a kid get on there and cuss like the first 10 times, after that - it's annoying and makes you realise you're sharing the same hobby as a 12 year old. And it's not just American lil kids, I've been called a "redneck American" by people from Europe all the time for no reason, mostly on Live though. There's a difference between being competitive and being obscene, and most the time it's just obscene. And I dont know about you, but I dont play video games to make my blood boil with anger when I get called a "redneck American".

They are almost identical. The other people I work with seem to give the nod to the ps3 version looking better on the same tv, even though they all own 360's. The difference may have been down to me using hdmi and the 360 being component only though. I haven't been able to check against his new hdmi 360 (his old one rrod'ed like 2 weeks ago and he bought another one.) The button layout and everything is the same, the transition is simple. None of them have Live accounts so I've never seen the online interface to compare.mbrockway

its silly to see how someone would buy another 360 after theirs went RROD, even if its the hdmi ver. I would be really piss and move on to another console. I mean what happens if this new one RROD?

How do you use your mic on COD4? i have it synced with the ps3 but can not figure out how to be heardcheese_puff07

press the on/off/call button once and it will reconnect, your headset will always disconnect when you intially start most games
