Call of duty 4 ONLINE help!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i can get online and everything fine but when i do the game skips a few times and then it goes to a screen and says i need a update version 1.20 for the game to be able to play. so i click ok, and then it takes me back to the ps3 menu but it tells me theres an error that has occured. please help i may have missed something in the setting or something, but i have no idea what im looking for. please help me wiith this.

well i didnt download anything on it but the internet update i needed, i just hooked the ps3 up yesterday for the internet and this happened, i will try that when i get home and see what happens.

someone suggested i call the company and maybe they can fix it up for me?

I would try deleting the COD4 data file (not the game save file). .
