My friend is going to get a PS3 next weekend but there are some issues we'd like to resolve first. Whenever I bring my PS3 over to his house and connect to his internet we can never get Call of Duty 4 to work online even though we can play other games online (such as Warhawk and RSV2). We've tried hooking it up wirelessly and with an ethernet cord. We always make sure we're using NAT 2. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

it's probably his router....for some reason, the servers for cod4 don't like some routers, i ended up getting a new one and it works fine. I'd recommend getting a linksys wrt54g which you can get for around 35 bucks, and putting open source firmware on it. works like a charm :) hope this helps

Hmm Ill have to suggest that to him. But if it was the router why would the Ethernet hookup not work? Thanks for the response.

Nope we never get stuck there. We always look for a match and it puts us in our own little room and says waiting for more players...but no one ever comes.

the cod4 servers are bad because they combined the servers if you have noticed you are playing with people around the world now. And thus the lag. However your connection issue could be his router. Does it work anywhere else, lol. if it doesnt work being direct connected its not gonna work wireless.

is it that bad playing against the Aussies? I'm an Aussie but even playing against ppl here is pretty lagging so it must be really terrible for you then no matter where you are from.
