Call of Duty 4 - Online problems

Hello all,

I went through quite a few pages looking for threads on this topic, but was unsuccessful (so i apologize if this has been talked about before)...BUT...does anyone else have problems getting into online games on COD4?? Every time i try to join a game, it searches for matches and then tries to start a new one. Of course, noone ever joins the match and I end up sitting there forever. If i leave the lobby and re-enter, i'll eventually find a match (but it takes up to 15 minutes sometimes). Would appreciate any and all suggestions!

I usually try to play Team Deathmatch...are a majority of people in some other area?

i have the same problem, somebody online told me to quit the game, shut off the playstation, turn off your modem and then start it all up again... i have yet to try it,but it on average takes me 10-15 minutes to find a game, and im usually looking for a free-for-all.

There will be a patch and/or network update coming soon. Most of these guys have been off on a holiday break.

CoD 4 was fine online for me (using a UK account in England)until I set up a new PSN account for the Japanese PSN. Since then, it's been really slow to connect to games and even download my rank info. I don't know if this is just me, or if switching between accounts causes this. I've had no probs with Warhawk.howardorr

Yep, that's because you've never got the patch that was given to the US, yourservers are better than ours actually...now in theUS even after the patchthere is a need for another patch since itscrewed up again over the holidays since there were a lot more people so here we are, a screwed up network again...that's why all of you are having problems :)

this is happening to all of us in the US because of the the people who just got the game for x-mas

the servers were fine with the people who had it before but then got flooded with all those x-mas people trying to play at the same time on the 25th-26th
