call of duty 4 snipers?

Hello everyone, i have been playing COD4 for a while and i have found out that almost nobody uses sniper rifles. and I think it is pretty obvious why. because everybody uses machine guns. I also hate the fact that almost any gun in the game has a silencer. except for the sniper rifles

I am a "True Sniper" so i use sniper rifles in all of my games (you probably think I'm MAD) but thats because i love it so much.I think that quite alot of the maps and games you can play in COD4 are not very "sniper friendly"which most people wud agree.Most of the time i play Team Death match or Cage match so i dont really have any problems.My average kills are probably 16+ kills and 5+ deaths.

My best game would have to be at crossfire with 32 kills and 4 deaths(using R700 for people who say its crap!).

lol um...i couldnt disagree more. i see people sniping, and i snipe, a lot. once you get god at it, you'll be the best in cod4. using over kill with sniper rifle and an automatic gun and your set.

just play over grown, block, creek, even vacant on S&D, and Bog and you will see plenty of sniping. your obviously new to cod4

sniping is ideal for domination and headquarters because as soon as you capture a flag you'll want to run and hide far away and pick off anyone trying to recapture the flag.ronniepage588

Yea it's also good for sabotage as well. Especially on maps like overgrown,creek or bog. I don't snipe alot but I always see people sniping on those maps. any maps with long stretches of land are heaven for snipers. But they do a good job of balancing those areas with lots of cover for the close range people.

I remember playing a cage match on shipment and using an m21 against this guy. I kept sniping him from the corners of the map. It was hilarious cause I won.

LMG's or Shotguns don't have suppressors...

Also, if they did add suppressors for sniper rifles, then only the M21 could realistically have them, also, it would be u(umlaut)berly overpowered.

Also, you're wrong. For every match, there's at least 1/2 on each side that snipes... Well, mostly.

yeah alot of people do use LMGs but I usually face people who use the P90 and M16. Kinda gets annoying. But as for me, I snipe most of the time with the M40A3. I'm trying to get the Red Tiger. Other than that I use the MP5 and M1014, usually no LMGs (until I want all golden guns). And to add to the whole "not many snipers" deal, it really just depends on the game mode and the map.

i use snipers. They do call me K-Snipes.

There are a lot more snipers than there used to be. I think its just everyone getting better at the game. I even see people sniping on Broadcast a lot more. Once you start sniping though, it is a completely different game.
