The only thing I don't like about the multiplayer in MW2 are the death perks (and this is coming from someone who dies a lot in deathmatch). I simply refuse to use the ones that I have the option for. Seems kind of superfluous - if ya keeping deathstreaking, not sure how stealing a class is going to help out all that much.
Agreed on the spawning thing, n00bkid. That's annoying.
As for the single player campaign goes, I prefer MW.
Mw2, they have have done a great job with the online, and the co-op is really fun with a friend. The single player player story isnt great, but really enjoyed the gameplay.
COD 4 was mainly about the army, while MW 2 is like a task force and action movie. Both are good, but I liked MW's heavy military setting more.
Heres the thing, mw2 is amazing but some attachments from cod4 look better for ex the red dot, and the acog, also whats up with the claymore, tends to be worse in codmw2porrco47Claymores may seem worse, but that's most likely because there are more ways to combat them. SitRep allows players to see them from far away. Scrambler Pro delays their trigger mechanism. And flashbangs/stun grenades seem to temporarily disable them.
They need to fix spawns! then COD:MW2 will be better :)n00bkid
this is a DEFINITE PROBLEM!!!! im usually sniping and then i get the opposing team spawn behind me and usually knife and kill me. this is rediculous, you should spawn where ur team is, not randomly because it ruins the game. i hate it also when i get spawn killed. they should not spawn u where the opposing team is but rather where ur squad is. plain and simple, if they fix that, it will be a lot better.

cod 4: not that many campers, no quitters!!!, excellent mp, solid campaign
mw 2: a lot of campers, quitters, slight improvement in mp, no good servers, solid campaign
It's a classic, MW2 was extremely overhyped and failed IMOI like CoD4 better, plain and simple.

come on, man... there were plenty of both in cod4. i'm not trying to play favorites, as i sunk in a lot of pleasurable hours into cod4, but it's undeniable that both games face(d) similar issues.
But it's true that because he maps in MW2 are somewhat more vertical with a lot more structures, campers are have more sweet-spots to work with.
as for quitters, the problem with MW2, is that when someone leaves the game, they are rarely replaced by new players... which obviously results in uneven sides.
But as i said before. let's be real here: campers and quitters plague both games; maybe not equally, but to still to an annoying degree.
I love both of them, but I gotta give the SP nod to COD4 in terms of story. That story was at least coherent. The MW2 one, while pretty good, jumped the shark immediately after the submarine base mission. I loved the story of MW2, but it just became idiotic in the last act. It was awesome, but stupid.
That being said, I like the multiplayer in MW2 better overall, but the spawn points DO need to be fixed. I hate spawning in front of the guy who killed me over and over again. I like the perks and loadouts better in MW2's multiplayer, and I really do enjoy most of the maps. It's just those effin' spawns!
