Call of Duty World at War: No Offline Splitscreen = no buy.

I'm not getting it.

They removed split screen offline multiplayer, which is how I played COD4 more than half the time. What were they thinking? Did Activision really think that would be Okay for Treyarch to cut corners and eliminate this? And no, it probably won't get patched.

Disappointed.

I checked multiple sources, just to make sure.

Also, I read on Wikipedia that the Wii version will have offline split screen, but the others won't. I guess Nintendo told them how it's going to be.

Why is this game coming out on last generation systems? Does this mean that it will be graphically inferior to COD4 even though they are built on the same engine? Even COD2 wasn't released on last gen systems, just PC and 360. Instead, the original xbox/ps2/gamecube got Big Red One.

Heaps of games are still coming out for the PS2. It obviously wont effect the Current Gen versions, just the older ones.

Splitscreen? I thought that went out years ago. I personally cant stand the thought of playing splitscreen on any game.Videodogg

This game DOES have offline splitscreen..I already have it, so i know for sure! COD4 style battles and campeign mode is avalible split screen.jnino92

Baically, this game has:

-4 player online multiplayer

-2 player split screen Co-op

And I was wrong about the wii version, it actually has no splitscreen what-so-ever, but a friend can use a wii mote to help you out or something...

I just can't see how they took out a simple feature like split screen. I'll continue to play COD4, and hope that Infinity Ward does something about it next time around.

An xbox site says there is 4-player versus, only through system link. I think that is confusing people the most...

by offline split screen.. do you mean 1 on 1.. on the same tv, where the other person can see where you are/what youre doing? other than shipment, that seems like itd be horribly boring. To each their own, but come on man, why dont you just play online ?signore

Because I find it fun to have friends over to play games with in the same room. Online is fun too but sometimes you just want to play the person sitting next to you.
