I have always been a huge playstation supporter with over 100 ps2 games and 10 ps3 games so far. I thought Xbox was a piece of junk with the exception of a few games, however Xbox 360 seems to have a bunch of good games that I want to play. I've been patient with the ps3 so far, but with more games getting pushed back to next year I am thinking about getting an Xbox 360. Would I be a sellout if I got one?

No. Not at all. You would be a gamer. Word to the wise, wait until they get the whole overheating thing under control. But then by that time the PS3 will be THE system. And if your getting it for "that one game" think twice. There are a bunch of problems with it. Sounds like WarHawk huh?

No, you would be a more open minded gamer. There's nothing wrong with owning multiple consoles.

I on the other hand, feel that while 360 has some pretty awesome games, I am very disappointed with the hardware. In fact, it was after my 2nd 360 died that forced my hand in getting a PS3 sooner then expected.(something to consider :P)

Yeah. I agree with the comments above. I've never been a xbox owner, until the 360. The PS3 will have its day of glory, but for now its now yet here... Not this year at least... It's ok to enjoy other systems and other games as long as you can afford it... A gamer is a gamer what ever system their playing it on... IMO its all about the games, not the companies.

You wouldn't be a sell out , the 360 seems like a good system. But I wouldn't get rid of the ps3 to get a 360 ..... that is for sure.

As for folks already stated you definitely wouldn't.

The only reason why I'm not able to have more then one console is the budget. Every system has good and fun games, be open minded and don't become the majority of gamers are today - fan-boys.

Go for it, more systems means more games and more fun, that's what matters the most ^_^

You will not be a sellout, you will be poorer, but not a sellout.

I ALSO AGREE WITH ALL THE ABOVE COMMENTS. EVERY SYSTEM HAS ITS STRENGHTS AND AS OF RIGHT NOW, PS3'S TRUE POTENTIAL HAS YET TO BE FULLY SHOWN. I USED TO OWN A 360 AS WELL AND ENJOYED SEVERAL OF THEIR GAMESBUT AFTER THREE 360S (DUE TO THE RED RINGS OF DEATH THAT STILL HAVEN'T FIXED EVEN NOW), I DECIDED TO MOVE TO PS3. THE WHOLE HASSLE OF SENDING MY SYSTEM AWAY, THEN WAITING TWO WEEKS TO GET ONE BACK REALLY DIMINISH MY EXCITEMENT FOR THE 360. I HEAR THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY AGAIN SO TRY IT OUT BUT I WOULD NOTGET RID OF YOUR PS3. ITS STILL A FAIRLY NEW SYSTEM AND MORE DEVELOPERS (LIKE INSOMINIAC AND NAUGHTY DOG) ARE REALLY TRYING TO PULL OUT PS3S POTENTIAL.

In all honesty I think buying a system the year it comes out is a waste of time and usually about $100. Hold off for another 6 months and I guarantee you will be happy with your PS3 and you will have FF13 and other beautiful title's coming down the pipe. Buying a 360 would be a waste because ultimately there will be few exclusives that you can't get a superior PS3 version for.

A gamer would say: "No, you're not a sell out".

A fanboy would say: "What a ******* of ********* is ****** and your ******** is *** for **** ..." an so on

The only advise any can give is:

1. Don't throw away all your money if it is just for one game, unless of course you have too much money :P

2. Definitely don't get rid of your PS3 to get an Xbox 360.

For the rest have fun.

Certainly not a sell out. My experince playing through Dead Rising for the first time was one of the greatest video game experinces I've ever had - and I still love my PS3 better.

You will be a much poorer gamer....think of all the extra games you will now "have" to buy....

Trust me, I am going broke this gaming generation. =)

Sellout? C'mon, that's just silly. The more systems you have, the more games you're open to play. I have just about everything from the Atari 2600 to the PS3, and it's great. That's being a dedicated gamer, not a sellout.

I wouldn't get rid of your PS3. There are far more games coming out for PS3 than X360, and a whole lot more variety. Ratchet and Clank is going to be awesome, Eye of Judgement, Drakes: Uncharted, Haze, Unreal, SOCOM, Wipeout, etc... Now is a bad time to think of getting rid of your PS3. Personally I'd never get an X360, as a gamer do I want to support Microsoft?? Look at what X360 & Microsoft have brought to gaming $59 MSRP for games, trying to make online play fee standard in the industry, microtransactions, grossly over priced accessories, bribing game companies for exclusivity, shoddy quality & attempted coverups just to launch a year early to gain marketshare. Not exactly the kind've company I want to support.

I don't like the new generation of gaming has been tagged with the "System War" mentality. I myself play games because I like to, I dont buy them to support one company or another. Personally I hate MS with a passion but I still give in and buy their system because it has games I like to play. If you have the money to own all of the systems then more power to you, it just seems as though the people that can't afford the other systems tend to push "their" system with fierce and sometimes idiotic means.

I don't think you would be selling out. If the game is not on your system, then you have no choice. I have owned systems since atari and pretty much have owned them all each generation. The way you can support your favorite system, PS3, is by buying multi-platform games always for the PS3...

He's looking for an honest opinion. Also accurate facts might help as well, but I guess we can chalk that up to your bias.

That is my honest opinion. Everything I mentioned is true so please enlighten me on what is not "accurate." And I don't have Bias, I currently own a PS3 and Wii. I had an Xbox and Gamecube previously. Notice PS3 my first Playstation.

ok ill tell u something ur wrong on....

the tc never said he was trading in his ps3 for a 360.

otherwize i would agree with u. its never worth trading in one system for the other unless maybe u get ur full money back. that way u can rebuy the other system later and not lose money

Absolutely not. This whole notion of brand loyalty is such a farce. Gamers want to play games, not worry about system wars and politics. I don't care which company sells what as long as I'm being provided with a great gaming experience.

To only own one system is to limit yourself, and if you have the means then every system is worth owning. There are too many games across all platforms that are worth playing that nobody should miss out on. Go buy the 360 and don't worry about what some idiot fanboy thinks or says about it.
