Can anyone help me with Borderlands?

I'm about 50% through my 1st playthrough and so frustrated with this game. I hate FPS with jumping puzzles or make me hunt for things. Every since I started Dahl Headlands, I've had the hardest time finding the turn in spots so I can't get the rewards for finishing the missions.

Now I have a turn in spot indicated in the southeast corner of the map. However, there is a completely barrier blocking my path down there. I've tried jumping over it. Blasting it. Nothing. How do you get past this wall?

Another annoying thing is my mission log still shows that I need to purchase a shield and turn in on one of the first missions. I've done this already and Zed is gone so why does it stay active?

I'll try and help you...which mission are you trying to turn in the DH?

Most all of the missions in the Dahl Headlands get turned in to Lucky's Bounty Board at Lucky's Last Chance Watering hole, or to Lucky himself (the guy sitting on the toilet inside of Lucky's. Getting Lucky, and Big Game Hunter missions are turned into Ernest (the guy leaning out front of the gas station in the North part of the map where you first come into the Dahl Headland.

Not sure what to tell you on the shield mission issue. It's a pretty straight forward quest. Fix the vending machine for Zed, buy a shield and then equip the shield. As long as you did those things it should have been able to be turned in. I did notice you said Zed is gone? As far as I know he is always at the same place, so maybe you have a glitch?

Thanks, I was able to figure it out. Apparently the thing that confused me is Dahl has two different turn in points very close together. One of which is to go talk to Lucky. I did this, and was able to close out a mission which then gave me the road warriors mission. After I beat that one, it unlocked the gate in the southeast.

The game is very glitchy though. One one mission, I spawn the vehicle, but drove it off the side of teh platform, and it was stuck. I tried to respawn new vehicles, but they appeared in that same stuck area. Only thing I could do was quite the game and restart.
