Can GOW get a 10.0

I feel that every God of war that comes out gets better and better. And if the next one is better than god of war 2 then it must deserve a 10.0. I honestly think that GOW 2 deserved a 10.0 But the question is.....do you think that god of war 3 will pull out a 10.0? I hope for a yes, but think that gamespot will say it could be better and give it a 9.5.

Why would it being a PS3 game have anything to do with anything? PS3 already has MGS4 and GTA4 both are 10.0 games.

Gamespot definatly has a thing for open-world games. GTA4 got a 10 and Oblivion got a 9.6, both extremly good ratings.

Intentionally, GOW is designed to be a linear game. There is always one set path to travel from Point A to Point B, and one set way to solve a puzzle in order to find the object needed to move on in the game.

By doing so, it plays along with the whole concept of "destiny", which has been a reoccuring concept in the games (especially the second, with the Sisters of Fate).

It has the potentially to get a 10, but it wont.

Some games is made non-open world for a reason. like for example if uncharted was a open world video game it would lose complete focus of the story. and god of war is just one of the those games.

It will be epic, but it won't get a 10.0. I'm pretty sure Gamespot will always find some reason not to give the game a 10. Elviathan

i would say, that if it just refines the gameplay then it would get an 8.5.

if it does a lot of good fundamental changes, like ramping up a.i. or introducing new mechanics, i't might still make it a 9.0 at the most.

As much as I love GOW I do not belive it can get a 10. It being a linear hack and slash, makes it seem simple. Which many reviewers will mark down on. If it was to make a bigger change where it isn't as linear, maybe having one very large world for the levels which you can explore but you would still need to do the basic collecting keyss to open gates etc.. Also maybe some more depth to the combat, mixing your magic attacks with your melee attacks, that sort of thing.

I do think though that if GOW3 can deliver amazing graphics, which I belive it can, it will be marked much higher. But we won't know until the game comes out.

I don't think theyll give it a ten unless there's something innovative with it. If the quick time button matching carries on(even though GOW does it best for finishes)then there's a ready made excuse cos that stuff iis everywhere now and has got real old.

It'll be a looker though, and if they can find an interesting gameplay twist to go with a great story it might have a slight chance of a 10.

Back. I find the battle system to be too sluggish for me. I hate seeing nudity in any media form. The story/music is good....for an action/adventure game. Nothing other games haven't already capitalized on in those two areas. So God of War isn't something someone can "rant" me to liking. The very essence of it is something I don't like and probably won't change just to join the hype. :\Symphonycometh

Wow did you just make a 2ND grade math error!?!?!? lol 5 or higher rounds up so 9.(5-9) would round up to 10 and 9.(4-1) rounds down to 9.0 so 9.6 cant round to 9.5 you know what forget it, just click here and be done with it.
