could someone explain to me the difference between HD and HD Ready. and can i see things in HD with my PS3 if i get an HD Ready one. is there anything else i would need to do in order to get HD picture quality?
"All of this really boils down to one key difference: does the set have a built in digital tuner or not? If it does, it's an HDTV; if it doesn't, it's HD Ready."
dont worry about it, as of jan1 07 all tv's under 27 ichs have a AYSC tuner built in adn i believe it was march 11th or 28 all TV's had to have one built in, most have then now anyways,
i don't really watch tv, but i play games and watch dvd's on my ps3. so if i were to get an HD Ready tv, without the extra gizzmo, would i be able to see my games in high def?
Yes, a HD-Ready monitor will display your PS3 at 1080i or 720p, depending on the specs of your specific input. A true HDTV includes a tuner, which would allow you to watch television in high definition, easily over an over-the-air antenna. Just remember to buy either component or hdmi cables to get the high definition signal.
