How much effort would It take?

hmmm
not sure you can take your time with MW2
once you start, so long as you keep going, you are pretty much forced to beat it in 4 hours
as for MSG4, i not sure, but after MW2, you will have just under 5 days, so take your time
MGS4: skip cutscene and choose the easiest mode, you should be able to beat it in 10 hours.

What's the point in skipping cutscenes? MGS 4 is all about them. I say if you wanna rent these games first complete MW2 which won't take you long and then rent MGS 4 and spent a bit more time with it. Don't rush it,because you won't like it and it's gonna be a waste of money, really.
play to enjoy a game not to beat as fast ass possible =] but it would take a while to beat the game in 5 daysbcroger2
I have 5 days. I've rented them.
just buy mgs4, it should be really cheap. I don't think its worth skipping all of the cutscenes because they are they best part.yentlequibleits about 20 bucks on amazon i believe
[QUOTE="Keir21"]I beat MGS4 on hard in 2 days and MW2 on hard in one day. Both on my first playthrough's no biggy!CBottom7
This is why neither game is worth buying ... only renting - Which is why you asked about 5 days I am assuming - both games are horrible
Both games are horrible? Are you knew to gaming or something? When was MGS4 and MW2 horrible...MW2 takes around 5-6 hours on veteran. MGS4 takes around 9hours on any difficultys, 7 if you skip cutscenesHow much effort would It take?

thats def true MGs has always had the longest cutscenes and it adds alot of time onto the game without them its a very short experience. I think one in MGS4 is almost an hour long.

I think that's his point. There are way more than just 2 hour worth of cutscenes in MGS4.[QUOTE="oajlu"]

I know MGS is more of a movie than a gameIf you watch the cutscenes in MGS4, it will take approximately 15 to 25 hours depending on your skill and familiarity with the game.
From what I hear MW2 = 6 hour single player campaign. So yea, you could do it with about 4 to 6 hours of play a day.

If you play MGS4 and skip the cutscenes, you're missing the point. If you're just going to skip them then don't even bother playing the game. Seriously.
Wow...
MGS4 is overrated, IGN's "buy it even if you hate Metal Gear" stance crossed the line for me. And that's coming from a DIE HARD Metal Gear fan.
And I beat MGS4 on extreme, no cutscenes, kills, alerts, continues, rations, etc... in under 4 hours. So yeah.
I took about 9-10 hours beating mgs4, then sold it because i got bored of it
as for mw2 its a pretty quick campaign mode even though i havent come across to finish it yet, but im guessing around 5-6 hours.
5 Days... yes it is possible... even without skipping the cutscenes... you'll miss out on some of the essences of the games, especially MGS4... and most people who got bored with MGS4 are the non-followers of the series... but if you have played it since MGS1... every cutscene is vital...
Well, unless you suck you can beat MW2 in about 5 hours. And if you skip the cutscenes in MGS4 you can beat it in under 3 hours.

I personally don't think you could beat MW2 in 4 hours or less on HARD on your first play through. There is absolutely no chance you beat it on Veteran in 4 hours or less either.

My first playthough, was on hard ( i am nearly done on veteran, but i got bored) took my a little under 4 hours. I thought this was a normal playtime considering everyone complains that the campaign is short
i am 2 missions away from finishing it on veteran and my play time is around 5 hours
sadly, AC2 came along, and i sold MW2
