Afraid not. Strangely enough no developer except for the makers of Unreal Tournament 3 (cant recall their name right now) has added to ability to play with keybord and mouse to their games. Something i find ridiculous!

Only UT3 supports it. I have the same keyboard and mouse combo and it was working with UT3.

That's because i'm really.. really bad with the controller, i'm sooo used to the mouse...

Well i should try UT3 then, never been a big fan, but i'm in need of a FPS bad.

How much time do you think it takes to become good with a controller (for FPS shooter)

LOL just play UT3 on the computer. I have a PS3 but any FPS game that comes out for it that is on computer (like COD4) I will always buy on the computer. I got COD4 on computer even though I have a PS3.

No. However there is a special mouse controller... can't remember exactly what it's called... that is supposed to work in just about any game.

Yes. And you can use them in the XMB (the Sony menu system) as well.

Eh, I think most people who have played a PC shooter agree that the mouse is faster and more accurate than a stick.

I agree. I haven't played a pc shooter in a while but it is much easier to aim acurately with a mouse.

There is a controller called the FragFx for the ps3. It uses a mouse instead of a right stick. I have it, but the only game that it seems to work well with so far is Cod4. This is because you can adjust the sensitivity in Cod4 to an insanely high level, making it easier to get a smoother setting with the Fragfx. Google it, you probably won't find it in stores.

Well many (if not all) console developers do try to compensate for the controls in one way or another. Things such as autoaim, wider hit boxes, slower AIs, etc.

From my experience with pc shooters such as quake 2, 3 and UT99 and UT2004, keyboard and mouse is much better than a controller. It seems controller playsers have hard times adjusting to keyboard and mouse. I think controllers balance competition because the best keyboard and mouse players are ridiculous.

In UT3, i'm better with a keyboard and mouse.

I tend to just not buy shooters for playstation and just play them on PC where I can use a KBaM. The only thing I have for PS3 that's close to a shooter is Dark Sector and Uncharted. I can get used to them good enough to play them but if those were on PC I would have gotten them for PC.
