IMO COD4 > Killzone 2, gameplay wise and online. So yea, Modern Warfare 2 could easily crush Killzone 2 or any FPS game that tries to stand in its way.
if it is a step up from CoD4 it will be much better, if it is pretty much the same then they are just milking the series, therefore kz would be better.

Uh, how do you get the idea that MW2 will "crush" KZ2 when it's not even out yet from basing your opinion from COD4? Like junglist101 said, it would have to surpass COD4:MW before you can claim that it will be better than KZ2.
Hell yes. COD 4 was awesome,one of the best shooters ever made i think.Killzone 2 is a great game but i think MW2 is gonna be better .Hard to know however... By the way anyone knows the release date??

Agreed....and haven't we learned our lesson about hype yet...??? I'm a big fan of both franchise to be honest, but let's just wait until the game is actually in our grubby little paws....I mean hand!!! lol
I hate Call of Duty games. They're old news and I don't even bother with them anymore. Besides, a few months ago everybody was wetting themselves over Killzone 2, are we going to forget the best games and just pick the newer ones? Shame on you.

I agree. I do like killzones graphics but it didn't have a strong lasting appeal to me. I didn't even beat radec which is where I am.. Once I got to the highest level and realized the sniper is terrible I stopped playing it
And the threads start.I never understood these 'Vs' threads.Cod4 vs Killzone vs world hunger blah,blah,blah.I am pretty sure when Call of duty MW2 comes out it will be an amazing game,same thing with Killzone 2.Have you noticed that no matter how many of these threads get made,the point still stands that both games are/will be good.No game is crushing another.People will play COD MW2,People will play Killzone 2.

well i sure hope so.. killzone 2 is an amazing game so if modern warfare crushes it then modern warfare 2 will be the best game ever.. Don't get me wrong killzone 2 is the best game on the ps3 IMO.. but call of duty 4 (xbox 360) is the best game ever IMO, so i will be one happy son of a ***** if modern warfare 2 crushes killzone 2.
poor question, gameplay similar, if anything kz2 is better it has 1st person cover system, COD4 will win in terms of sales bc it has a mass market appeal, kz2 just has a unique look and feel that not everyone likes, personally kz2 destroys all : )
Killzone 2 will likely sell 4-5 million in its life time, but MW2 will likely sale that much in 1 month. So sale wise no. Gameplay wise is plausible, but only if they heavily update COD4 formula. If they only make slight changes(COD5) then no. Also dedicated servers are a much needed addition coming from R2 and Killzone 2.
I believe Modern Warfare 2 will have a memorable single-player experience : seriously, when COD4 first came out, I had the impression I was playing a Metal Gear War-themed game. The story felt real, you actually cared for the events that were happening all around you, and they brought a makeshift CounterStrike community unto consoles. I have high hopes for MW2, though Killzone 2 remains the console graphics king until Heavy Rain / God of War 3 / Uncharted 2 come out unto retail shelves. KZ2 for graphics, MW2 for story, great single-player, great multiplayer, and great gameplay in general.

Like junglist101 said, it would have to surpass COD4:MW before you can claim that it will be better than KZ2. because even COD4 is better than Killzone 2. obviously, it's sequel Modern Warfare 2 has a great chance of expanding on this and being an even more stellar game.
COD is miles better than killzone... the online on killzone 2 felt abit loose and not well crafted. COD on the other hand feels like a solid online shooter.
